When I work, I want to be comfortable and sometimes it is not at a desk. The new furniture will provide the students with a different option besides a hard chair. Many students also have attention problems, being able to move and change seating can eliminate the behavior issues that may arise. I currently have some flexible seating options with wobble chairs, and desks that students can stand at or sit but, my students have requested seats that also have backs and seating that allows them to work and read on the floor.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. I teach both general education classes and special needs English classes. My students often have difficulty staying focused and need to have movement to stay on task.
