The ASHA Convention is the strongest and most reputable educational program for speech-language pathologists and related educators and scientists. Leading experts in the field offer a multitude of opportunities for learning and networking within and across disciplines, including more than 2,500 sessions eligible for PDP credit.
As our knowledge of the physiological basis of communication, its development and disorders, diagnostic methods, and educational practices has skyrocketed, the field of speech-language pathology has advanced rapidly. In order to deliver the highest standard of care to students and clients, it is incumbent upon today's SLPs to stay up to date with this rapidly evolving knowledge base. By attending this conference, I will gain knowledge of recent developments in diagnosis, service delivery, intervention, inter-professional practice and social-emotional learning. This will greatly enrich and expand the support I can offer to my students, which will, in turn, help them to make the educational and psychosocial gains that they deserve!
