Education is the great equalizer among our youth and all students have independent needs when it comes to learning. However, this year most of my students have a common need: the need to wiggle their bodies while they are learning. I am teaching a classroom of all boys and they are constantly moving. I would like to provide my students with flexible seating arrangements in order to make themselves more comfy while learning and allow them to be moving while they are working,
Students need options, and that is exactly what these new seating arrangements will allow them. These new seating options will allow students to choose how they learn and how they can interact with their peers. Being a school full of low-income families, students do not always have access to books at home. I would also like to fund more books in my classroom in order to allow students to take books home nightly to read with their moms, dads, siblings, or grandparents, The books I've selected are sure to never stay in-stock in the classroom, as I know they will fly into my readers' hands!
