Organizing Our Writing Center!
Funded Oct 8, 2011Thank you SO very much for your generous donation to this project! Our writing center was really needing some organization and this project really helped to fund materials that help to make our center a much neater space. All of the colored pencils are in its own spot (organized by color), the paper has a place to go, and glue sticks, scissors, etc. Students are not spending as much time finding their materials that they need for writing, but they are quickly finding their things and getting straight to work! A students has a job to tidy of the area and they love to organize the space because every supply has its own place! Thank you again for funding this project.”

Funded Oct 6, 2011Thank you so much for helping to expand our library with so many more books! My students have been growing tremendously as readers and they were starting to move up levels that I didn't have enough books for! It was a great problem to have, but with these new books, students were able to find "just right" books that fit their reading level. I am so thrilled to see their happy faces reading all of these difficult chapter books and get so excited to read all of the new books. Thank you again so much!”

Funded Sep 20, 2011Wow!! You would not believe what a difference one bookshelf will make in a classroom! Not just any bookcase, but one that helps to color-coordinated genres and helps keep book organized in a growing classroom library! Students are excited about this sturdy bookcase that has colored stickers to easily be able identify which books belong in which section. They get to use a small stool to get to the top shelf for the 1st graders who aren't yet able to reach the top. It is visually appealing and students love it! Thank you so much!”

Growing Our Library For Growing Readers!
Funded Jul 1, 2013Thank you for donating to this project! I am thrilled to be able to start off the next school year with so many "just right" level books for my 3rd and 4th graders. Because I have so many returning students next year, they will be excited to have a growing library just as they are growing in their reading skills. A classroom library is definitely one of the hardest parts of a classroom for teachers to continue to fill for her students, but because of donors like you, I will have 24 VERY happy students. Thank you again!!”

Mathematicians Need Supplies!
Funded May 11, 2013Thank you to all of you for donating to this project! From reading all of your comments, I can tell you have a passion for math as well! I am looking forward to using these materials to engage my students in different activities to help their understanding of mathematical concepts. Especially with the transition into using the Common Core Standards to teach students, it helps to have these resources as a starting point. It will help me tremendously, especially with teaching 3 grades! Thank you so much for funding this project so that I can instill the love of math to all my students. Thank you!”

Literacy & Listening Center!!!
Funded Oct 10, 2011Thank you so much for helping to fund this project for our classroom! The new literacy materials and the updated listening center has been wildly popular in our classroom. Not only does the library have new books from Donors Choose, but the listening center now has books and CDs that are more at their level. When changing grades, I realized that many of the materials that were fit for Kindergarteners would not be appropriate for some of my second graders. It was tricky to figure out how to support my advanced readers. With the higher level books for my listening center, I have popular chapter book series that students are so excited about! At any age, being read to is such a delight. So thank you so much for donating for this project - we are very excited and grateful!”
