  • Jump Jump

    Funded May 27, 2021

Oh what fun we are going to have with our new bounce house! My kids love to move and jump! The best part about movement is that it grows your brain too! Thank you for your generous donations you are making a huge impact in the future of my students!”

  • Inky Business

    Funded Apr 19, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations. What a relief it is to have some more ink! We are currently doing an ABC countdown till the end of the year and the kids are having so much fun. This activity does require lots of ink for colorful pictures. We are also making a mini yearbook for the children for a keepsake their Pre-K year. It's such a special and fun time of the year. Thank you again for your generosity it makes such a difference. There are so many more activities that are possible because you!

    God bless you!”

  • Cooking Up Some Learning

    Funded Feb 24, 2021

I just finished up with a cooking lesson today. My kids made vanilla cupcakes. We talked about measurement and wrote a recipe together. My students are learning new vocabulary and perhaps most important they had so much fun. "It's so yummy Ms. Franklin!" one of my students remarked.

The children are getting a first hand experience in how number and letter knowledge is important as they see that you have to read the recipe on the box. I left the cup cake mix box in the dramatic play area so that they could pretend to make the cupcakes. I hear and see them using new vocabulary and reenacting the process of making the cake.

All of this would be so impossible without your generous donations. I am so grateful for you!”

  • The Talking Alphabet

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

As I shared with you all before I have had the biggest challenge getting my children to talk this year. This is so vital to learning especially for my students who are not native English speakers. These puppets are helping encourage language development as they have new found motivation to speak. I am over joyed to hear their little voices as they interact with the puppets. Not only are they fun but they also helping to teach letters and letter sounds which is very important in learning to read. I hope that you all can know what a difference you make in our classroom. You are truly important and generous people. Thank you again for giving to us!”

  • Practically Pretending

    Funded Nov 10, 2020

Is there anything more fun for kid than getting in a tent. My kids said "Oh wow!" when they saw the play campsite today. What an amazing gift you have given to them. Through these new toys we are learning new vocabulary and I am able to foster meaningful conversations to expand their oral language. I can't wait to see what they do with the kitchen and grill play set we are saving that one for later use. I am so thankful that their are wonderfully kind people in the world like yourselves. You inspire us all. The kids asked me today who the toys were from and I was able to tell them your names and they said, "Wow, that's so good!" The world needs more people like you that our kids can look up to. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

  • Center Time COVID Style

    Funded Oct 10, 2020

My kids are obsessed with this kinetic sand. They can't wait to play with it everyday. The most wonderful thing is happening while they are playing with this sand. . . They are talking! It sounds like a small feat but this year my students oral language is lacking. Due to quarantine and mask barriers I am struggling to get my students to talk. Oral language is the basis of literacy learning and especially important for my english language learners. My kids are overcoming the obstacles of a pandemic education because of the generosity and love of donors just like you. From one grateful teacher, thank you!”

  • Circle Time on the Rug

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

This carpet is what dreams are made of. My students have so much more space to learn and play. As you can see in the picture of my previous carpet the children were swished around the edges. Now they have spots on the outside of the carpet for circle activities and in the center of the rug which allow better vision of the board.

The carpet has also be used as a learning tool as it features numbers and letters. We love to hop from number to number on the carpet as we practice counting. We also play a version of musical chairs with the alphabet around the outside of the rug.

Your generosity is making such a difference in the lives of my kids. The future is bright thanks to you.”

  • Color Ink Colors Our World

    Funded Aug 31, 2020

You have literally given color to our little classroom world. The ink that you provided allowed me to fill our room with environmental print which is attractive to the eye and help students learn.

Most of the students in my room are learning to speak English for the first time. For these learner pictures are essential not only for learning new academic knowledge but also for learning classroom rules and procedures. This social emotional learning is a crucial part of the curriculum in child development as we prepare them for kindergarten.

Your generosity has made a difference in the way I am able to attract my students attention and give them new knowledge.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

  • Rona Goes to Preschool

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

Thank you so much for the materials you provided to make our classroom safe this year. No doubt this year will be different but it will still be a year where we all learn together. I feel more empowered after your generous donations that I have supplies where I can provide high quality instruction whether it is remote or in person. I have started incoming testing and my kids are very sweet but very under exposed and they need school so much. Thank you for providing the tools to help us stay in school this year.

    You are a world changer!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

  • Math Mania

    Funded May 8, 2020

Math is in our everyday life. We use it to tell time, pay for things, and count. Children learn best by hands experiences and play. Though my sweet children have been out of the building for far too long and have not been able to access these toys; I know that they are going to love them. Better still, they are going to be able to develop the most important mathematical skills they need. I can't wait to see them playing and learning with these materials. You all are so generous and you warm my heart with your investment in the future of our country and our world.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Arnold

"I found an "a","a" alligator", a child exclaims while engaging with materials in the sensory table. Each day I get to see twenty tiny minds engage in learning in an excited and authentic way. I love teaching four year olds because of their enthusiasm for learning. I am especially inspired by my current group of students because they are not only learning the alphabet for the first time, but english. Midland Park Primary is a title one school which caters to a large population of ESL learners. I adore working with this population of students. They never cease to exceed my expectations and tackle learning a new language with determination.
