  • What Happened to Your Pants?

    Funded Oct 23, 2023

Thank you so much for our emergency pants. They are being stored in the nurse's office and in the classroom in central wing with Ms. D just in case anyone needs them. We are so grateful for your support and all of our students are thankful that we now have some extra pants, just in case. Students today saw them being delivered and asked how they could buy them. We told them they could not buy them but if there was an emergency they were here in case they needed to change.

Thank you so much for supporting our school and for making sure that all students, regardless of gender, have appropriate pants in case of emergency.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Sujovolsky

  • Microscopic Universe For All...To be Shared!

    Funded Oct 15, 2018

The Video connected microscopes already have paid dividends in Clifton High School Honors Biology. The students created their own cell slides with stains, and we managed to project their creations for all to see and compare and contrast.

The students felt a tremendous source of pride in their slides as everyone was able to see them together in real time.

Prior to this, I projected prepared slides and was assured that they were all paying attention to the details that I was pointing them to. The next step that has the students pumped up is the Protists unit, where we will observe and record in real time the inhabitants of pond water.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Sujovolsky

These Video capable Microscopes are a multifaceted positive for the school, teachers and more importantly, the students. Students really enjoy when the material is presented in a different and maybe more modern fashion. These Microscopes will allow the students have a larger visual field, share ideas about the same image, and allow the teacher the freedom to walk around the room, or share events like single-cell organisms in pond water for all to see simultaneously. The images saved from the microscope can be used in lesson plans, PowerPoint, notes, etc...to be shared via Google classroom, email, or student design websites for presentation purposes.
