  • Learning Language and Lovin' It

    We are so thrilled to be able to use the headphones with microphones! We are using the headphones with so many educational programs that require listening. We will also be getting a program where we will get to use the microphone to practice speaking in English.

    Our learning of the English language will be more focused and easier because the headphones help us to work independently and not interrupt others. We're even using them in math to have problems read aloud in our native language, as well as in English.

  • Getting Techy With It

    We have been putting our technology items to great use! We have been able to utilize both printers to bring our classroom to life by providing images to help our learning and work shine. We love how easy and accessible we can print images and make copies within our classroom. Our English Language Learners, especially, enjoy printing images in color to help with their understanding of certain topics and having the room labeled with words along with real images. This has been a great addition to our classroom, and we really appreciate your generous contribution!”

  • Learning English through the World Wide Web

    I was so excited when I received the Chromebooks! I immediately put in a request to have certain programs installed that would benefit English Language Learners. It took a long time for for the tech teacher to get it done since it was not top priority, but when it was complete, the school year was turned upside-down. March 13 was our last day of being in the building. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the laptops the way we wanted because all technology devices were collected in order to equip the students for remote learning. However, I know that whomever received the devices were able to complete their assignments through Google Classrooms and other platforms. I thank you for giving this opportunity to my students!”

  • Can You Hear What I Hear? Learning English Through Audio

    Having this listening center along with the Building Vocabulary Listening Pack has helped my English Language Learners improve their vocabulary. Not only do they find this resource helpful in developing their language skills, but it is also helping them to discuss their answers and communicate their thinking.

    My students get excited to use the listening center. They enjoy learning in a different way, and are becoming better listeners, speakers, and writers in English. The vocabulary packs also allow me, as a teacher to assess and track students' progress with ease.”
