  • 1 Style of Chair Does Not Fit All!

    My students love their wobble cushions! Thanks to your donation, I am able to provide my students with an alternative seating option that allows them to focus and be comfortable. The wobble cushions are used by three of my students who have a very difficult time staying seated during our small group reading blocks.

    During phonics, I use the floor seats and lap desks. This type of flexible seating makes my kiddos excited to learn because they get to sit in the "very special seats".

    I am extremely grateful that this project was funded by kind hearted people who believe in the importance of education and recognize the needs of NYC teachers and their students.

My Kindergarteners become fidgety and need frequent breaks when they sit in their plastic, hard, cold squeaky chairs. Giving our students a choice of where to sit and what types of seats to sit on during our small group activities would allow our students to focus and remain on task. Your donations will help me create a comfortable/flexible learning space within my classroom that will help my students take charge of their future. The materials I have chosen support my small group instruction across all subjects. They are 3 cushiony floor chairs with 3 small desks where they can tuck their legs under. Also, 3 wobble cushions which are placed atop the traditional classrooms chairs to improve stability and focus. Help me make make school a comfy place to be!
