It is important to me that when my students walk into my classroom it feels like their classroom home, their very own safe space. As a teacher of a behavioral resource room classroom, I try to show my students that they deserve to have a beautiful learning environment, filled with beautiful learning tools, just as everyone else. I find that when I put effort into materials they wouldn't typically be subjected to, it helps foster close and trusting relationships with one another, resulting in a happier learning environment for all. These books will help engage my students at different ages, providing a variety of different levels and topics that they are interested in. Providing new books at a variety of levels for my students would not only help academically, but it also will help my students understand that they are amazing and so many people care about them and their learning.
