My students will read Books in Series books to increase their volume of reading and to master many fourth grade standards. I love seeing students getting excited about reading! My students love books in a series. They come to know the characters in a book and they get excited to continue to read about adventures with Harry Potter or The Series of Unfortunate Events. Through the books, we will also analyze the characters and what motivates them. It is crucial that students be able to analyze characters and plot and this is a perfect and engaging way to do it, along with building vocabulary!
