  • Technology Needed for Student Success

    This year has been a year to remember! Never would I have thought second graders would need a device to use daily for school. Your help in funding our class project has secured two devices for our classroom that my students can use daily.

    Thank you so much for your generosity towards my students this school year. When devices are broken, not wanting to work, or simply forgotten at home these devices have helped students to continue with their daily work on campus. They are able to participate in online class games, reading and math practice, complete assignments and enjoy virtual field trips.

    My students are excited and eager to learn each day! They are beginning to understand the importance now of being good citizens and giving back to the community. This project is used as a reminder and example of citizenship in our community and they are able to make a real-life connection thanks to your support.

We are noticing that many of our students are lacking the devices they need to be successful. I am requesting Chromebooks for my students to use for virtual learning at home. Not having these devices hinders their ability to get online, participate in lessons, complete assignments and interact with their classmates and teachers. My students are eager to learn but not all can afford the luxury of multiple technology devices in their household. We teach several live lessons virtually every day. When my students have siblings learning at the same time it is very difficult for them to join our lessons. Having a device of their own to use during the day will be so beneficial. Even during virtual learning, we understand the importance of learning and we know it can be done, help me help my students succeed this year.
