  • Individual Supply Packs for a Safe Art Room in 2021-2022

    Funded May 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity which allowed my students to each receive their own individual art materials for class.

With these individual packs of art supplies, my students are able to be responsible for their own materials, which are accessible to them both in school and at home. Students who are working from home in quarantine are able to follow along with the in class assignment since they have all the needed materials for projects, and my students in person are cutting down on germs being passed around since they are not sharing supplies.

These individual bags of supplies have become such a huge asset to our classroom, as we are able to continue physically creating artwork with social distancing protocols still in place.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stevens

  • Sharpie Markers and Pens for the 2021-2022 School Year

    Funded May 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity! My students have been given their art supplies for this school year containing the new Sharpie Markers and Pens. They have already utilized these materials creating their "About You" drawings, by adding details and outlining their drawings to really help them "pop"!

My students love their new materials and definitely will use them often this year as we create drawings inspired by artists such as Keith Haring (Graffiti drawings), and Vincent Van Gogh.

On behalf of myself and my students, I would like to thank you for your generosity and kindness! Thank you for helping out our classroom!”

  • Scratch Art Paper for Grade 6 Artists

    Funded Sep 26, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity! I know my students will be so excited to use these materials in our class while learning about artists and cultures! I am also excited that I get to include this unit in our curriculum this year now that we have obtained the needed supplies! My biggest thanks to everyone!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stevens

  • A Welcoming Classroom for the 2021-2022 School Year

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

Thank you so much for allowing me to create an environment in our classroom much like the one we once had. The 2020-2021 school year had been a difficult one for staff and students alike. The classroom walls were bare, furniture removed and decorations packed away. It was not like the classroom environment that my 7th and 8th graders had once seen. With these new materials, I hope to begin building that classroom that they once had enjoyed entering, and create a warm, inviting room to give my students the best year yet! My students were very excited to see the new items come in and as I began putting up some materials, many had inquired as to what the room will look like when it was completed! I know they will be very excited to see it all come together in September!”

  • Rulers and Scissors for Art Class in 2021-2022

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the purchase of these new supplies for our classroom! With all the uncertainty surrounding the 2021-2022 school year, I know that my students will all have the supplies that they need for our class. Regardless if our district goes back to "normal", or continues with our "new normal", we will still be able to create artwork and express our creativity at our building.

Both I and my students are very appreciative of your generosity and kindness. My students are very appreciative of the materials that they are receiving and very excited to be able to continue creating physical artwork.”

  • Art Classroom Organization Supplies

    Funded Apr 28, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the purchase of new organizational supplies for our classroom. My students were very excited to see the new items being unpackaged as the boxes arrived. I could not help myself but to begin decorating and organizing the classroom with the new supplies right away and students definitely took notice. The tension rods are being used to cover the once unsightly built-in bookshelves that now house the hard copies of our Scholastic Art Magazines. With the new magazine holders, my students are able to now access the new copies of the magazine that we received this year. The new art posters and calendar display that replaced our damaged ones will look amazing, tying our newly organized room together.”

  • Colored Pencils for Art in 2021-2022

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the purchase of individual colored pencil packs for my students. With social distancing protocols in place, my students were still able to create artwork while utilizing individual packs of supplies. My students were very excited to see that we would be able to overcome the obstacle that COVID-19 had presented to use the school year prior. My students in 6th grade are using these materials for their Starry Night Landscape drawings, Keith Haring-inspired graffiti murals, and many more! My 8th-grade students are using colored pencils for their Seascape drawings inspired by Edward Hopper, and Optical Illusion drawings.”

  • Beautiful Bulletin Board Displays

    Funded Mar 22, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations towards the purchase of new bulletin board trims and decoration materials. The 2020-2021 school year was very tough for our students, especially for those who were returning to our school and seeing the boards minimally decorated. Unfortunately, many of our supplies were destroyed/tossed when the school temporarily closed last March. Although I am planning on using the majority of the purchased materials in the fall, I have already begun prepping the boards in the art hallway with paper and new trim. My students have taken notice and many mentioned how much they love the decor, so they are taking notice. I cannot wait to surprise them in the fall with many more decorations and displays and hopefully return to displaying their artwork around the school as we have in the past.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Scholastic Art Magazine for Art Scholars

    Funded Mar 16, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards the renewal of our Scholastic Art Magazine subscription. In the past, my students have enjoyed exploring these magazines for inspiration and to expand their knowledge of the artists we are learning about in class.

Since COVID has changed our classroom structure, the Scholastic Art Magazine has been a huge asset to our online learning. Included with the subscription is online access to articles, assignments, and videos which have benefitted my students greatly.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Scholastic Art Magazine for Art Scholars

    Funded Jan 24, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the purchase of a Scholastic Art Magazine Subscription. Although my original plans of using these in our classroom as reference materials and for "early finishers" had to change due to Social Distancing Protocols, these magazines have become an even bigger asset when teaching virtually.

My students are utilizing the online subscription to the magazine when working at-home on their hybrid learning days. They are able to read in-depth about the artists that we are learning about in class, in addition to seeing real-life applications and current/modern artists who use a similar style. The Scholastic Art Magazine subscription has also helped to break apart the otherwise text-heavy assignments and provide visuals for student learners.

Thank you again for your kindness!”
