  • Scholastic Art Magazine for Art Scholars

    Funded May 6, 2022

Thank you so much for renewing our subscription to Scholastic Art Magazine. My students love using the physical magazines in class to explore different artists and art styles. It has also been a huge asset to our lessons since we have the digital subscription also. My students have been able to utilize the online materials to learn more about the artists we are creating artwork inspired by, in addition to expanding their knowledge by reading articles relating to the artist and art styles. These magazines have been a great tool in our class and I am grateful that we will have this tool for the 2022-2023 school year as well!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stevens

  • Sketchbooks and Journals for Students

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for the new materials so that my students can create their own journals and sketchbooks. My students have asked me every day about their journals and are VERY excited about them. They loved that they were able to select their own templates and materials to create them. I cannot wait to hand them back to the students and for them to be able to journal and sketch in them.

The students and I are very appreciative of your generosity and kindness towards our classroom! We CANNOT wait to use them once they are assembled!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stevens

  • New Stools for the Art Studio!

    Funded Apr 29, 2022

Thank you so much for the first set of our new stools! The students were very excited to find out that they were receiving a new set of stools for their table! We still need many more to replace the broken or wobbley stools, but the ones that have been replaced have been very appreciated!

My students cannot wait for all the stools to be replaced in our classroom and are very grateful for your generous donations towards these new stools! We appreciate your kindness and donations to our classroom.”

  • Puzzling Artists

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

Thank you so much for the blank puzzle templates for my students! My 8th graders just completed their unit based on the artist MC Escher and got to create their own tessellation-inspired puzzles. They had so much fun doing so and came up with a lot of cool, creative ideas! It was a great way to end the unit, especially with such an intense and challenging unit. My students loved decompressing and being able to express themselves creatively. The best part was that they were able to take home the puzzles too and have a piece of functional art!”

  • Journaling for SEL and Restorative Justice

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

Thank you so much for the journaling items! Before we left for break, my students began preparing for journal making and have been super excited about being able to make and receive their own journals! I know that they will be ecstatic to hear that they are receiving additional journaling supplies! They CANNOT wait to begin journaling!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stevens

  • Keep Cool and Make Art

    Funded Sep 28, 2021

Thank you so much for our new fans and air purifiers! Our air purifiers have been working hard, keeping our classroom clean. Just after 1 month of use, the filters already show particles! I was originally thinking that we would not need the fans until the late spring, but due to the heat in our classroom, we have been using them already and the fans have been a huge help to keep our classroom temperature comfortable.

My students (and I) love the fans and air purifiers and I know that they will be put to good use throughout the years in our classroom.”

  • Technology for a 21st Century Art Room

    Funded Jun 25, 2021

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. I am not sure who is more excited about the new technology, me or my students! Once the new computer arrived, my students immediately noticed it and were so excited to find out that it was donated by Disney!

So far I have used the technology to share my students' artwork by creating a video so parents can see, and we can show off our artwork to peers since social distancing has created a physical barrier where students aren't able to see each other's work like they usually do.

I am hoping to obtain some ipads for students once things begin returning to normal, and allow students to use the computer to do the editing and digital artworks themselves.”

  • Sketchbooks and Journals for Students

    Funded Nov 16, 2021

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity so that my students can have journals and sketchbooks for art class. I cannot wait to be able to send my students with their individually handmade journals home for the holiday/winter break. I am excited to demonstrate how to journal so that my students can utilize it as a creative outlet when they are home for break. It is also something we will use in class as a way to "center" ourselves and a place where my students can organize their thoughts and ideas.”

    With gratitude,

  • Dry Erase Markers for a Better Environment

    Funded Jul 29, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the purchase of new dry erase markers.

In the past, my students have really enjoyed utilizing the dry erase markers and boards when learning about how to draw a new technique. The dry erase markers make it much easier for students to follow along with drawing demonstrations, as they can erase much quicker, and it allows us to use less paper and create less waste! Thank you for your kindness in replacing our supply of dry erase markers so that we can continue to use these materials this year, and in school years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stevens
