Aquaponics Garden for Our Classroom!
Funded Jul 16, 2021Wow! What a gift you have given us. Our Aquaponics set up has been such a source of joy for the students in our classroom. Each day, they hurry over to see what is growing, how the fish are doing, and how the entire ecosystem is shaping up. It is a constant talking point, showing us many life cycles in action, and we are so very grateful for it. Just having this tank and aquaponics system in our classroom has been a wonderful experience for us all.
Thank you very much for your continued support of our classroom. We know that you are making a huge difference in our learning and we are so very grateful.”

Versatiles for Literacy Engagement
Funded Jul 22, 2021Thank you so very much for donating these Versatiles to my classroom. The kids are enjoying our lessons on comprehension, phonics and vocabulary so much more than they have in the past. These tiles and workbooks give the kids an added incentive to understand the text in front of them.
When these Versatiles come out, the kids cheer! They love using them and are so very engaged. Each time we use them the students exude joy and a loving will to tackle the comprehension challenge ahead of them. They have been such a wonderful addition to our class.
We are so endlessly grateful for all that you do for us. Your donations to our classroom have made a world of difference to learning. We are so thankful for you and your support of our education. Thank you very much.”

Funded Mar 3, 2021Wow! My students were BLOWN AWAY by the treats that came with this project. They couldn't wait to dig into the boxes and fish out all of the goodies. We used the Pop Rocks, gum, and Bean Boozled jelly beans to learn how to write strong, focused narratives. They had a blast writing about their experience as they were eating the gross beans or having the pop rocks actively popping in their mouths. Their exclamations of joy were amazing to listen to. What is even better is that their writing was fantastic!
Thank you so much for your continued support of our classroom and the learning that takes place within our 4 walls (or Zoom space, as was the case this year.) We appreciate you so very much!”

Oreo Across the Curriculum
Funded Feb 24, 2021My students LOVED LOVED LOVED using these Oreos for a full day of science, math, art, and writing. It was so much fun! First, the kids stacked the Oreos up into towers, trying to see how many they could get in before the towers fell. I wish you could have heard the squeals and yells of excitement! It was truly awesome. The kids used the data from the stacking experiment to create graphs and line plots. They then made the coolest (and stickiest) sculptures I have ever seen using the cookies and cream. It was just such a fun, standards-filled day and I am grateful for your donation towards this project. YOU made this happen, and we thank you for that!”

3D Printing is our Future
Funded May 8, 2019Thank you so much for this 3D printer! We are still getting used to using it, but the kids are SO excited that we even have it in the classroom. The projects that they are dreaming up are amazing. With COVID it has been hard to integrate the 3D printer into many of our lessons, but we are getting there! Next year, we will be able to roll with it right from day one in the classroom. I can't wait to get the kids' hands on the software and teach them how to use this wonderful piece of technology. Thank you so much for your support of our classroom!”

Funded Jan 23, 2021I can not express the joy and gratitude my students felt as they received their boxes of materials in the mail! Because of your generous donation, my students were able to have a hands-on writing experience unlike any other. The shipping containers fit various candy and other assorted items that we then used live on Zoom to learn how to write descriptively. It was such fun watching the kids open the boxes, not knowing what was in them! You truly did give them a gift!
Thank you so very much for your continued support of our classroom. You are making a difference with my students and I am very grateful.”

Build a Love of Reading!
Funded Sep 16, 2020Books are always at the heart of my instruction and, thanks to you, my students have had access to a wide variety of them (albeit virtually.) I have been able to read aloud to my students via Zoom, sharing with them the many different titles that you have gifted to us.
The students are always asking what the next book I will read them is. They love our daily read aloud time and the books that you have so generously donated have made that time even more special. The books include characters that reflect themselves and they love that even more!
Thank you so much for supporting our love of reading. We are all becoming better scholars because of you.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020This green screen has changed my virtual classroom for the better! I use it to transport the students to far off lands, go on field trips, or even to share their work on virtual bulletin boards. I love that the kids don't know what to expect when we head into class because of the screen!
Your generous donation has made our virtual classroom a better place to be. The students are more engaged and I am more creative in how I present information to them. Thank you so much for always thinking of the kids in my room and helping me to give them a more well-rounded and exciting education. You truly are making a difference in the lives of the students.”

Funded Oct 17, 2020There truly are not enough words to say thank you for this donation of a large monitor to my virtual learning class. This gift that you have given me is, without a doubt, the number one thing that is making my distance learning experience better. It has turned everything around for me as an educator in this environment.
With this large screen I am able to see all of my students at once, giving me a more personal experience with them. Not only that, but I can see the work that the students are doing while also keeping that visual connection with them. It has changed how I conduct my class and I am so very grateful to have this vital piece of technology.
Thank you again for thinking of *me* in this situation. I know that ultimately my students benefit from this because I can better instruct them, but I am also glad that I am a huge benefactor of this generous gift. It is helping me survive distance learning. And I am very grateful.”

Funded Sep 27, 2019This field trip was a first for our third graders and, boy, did they love it! The kids were able to experience the Gardens in a way that they never would have without your generous donations.
At the gardens, the students learned about different plants and animals and the habitats in which they live. They were able to have an hands-on experience of looking the plants and their adaptations. One of the highlights of the trip was using magnifying glasses and walking about the grounds looking for insects. The kids were so into it!
Thank you again for giving the students an experience they won't soon forget.”
