  • Flexible Seating Creates Comfortable Kindergartners!

    Thank you for turning my project idea into a reality! My Kindergarten students were so thrilled to come back in 2020 to discover that the flexible seating options were now available!

    First, we discussed the "Do's and Don'ts" of flexible seating. After the expectations were discussed, the children were then able to earn their special seats. They all couldn't wait to earn an opportunity to sit in these very special seats!

    These flexible seating options are rewarded to students who demonstrate the following character traits: diligence, perseverance, ambitiousness, conscientiousness, and respectfulness. This serves as a great motivator for all the Kindergarteners to be the best version of themselves.

    The Kindergarteners are doing a fabulous job with respecting the classroom expectations of the awesome, flexible seating options! These flexible seating options are a real crowd pleaser!”

  • Color My World!

    I am so excited to know that such wonderful people stepped up to help my students! My students will now have access to materials that are vibrant, realistic, and eye-catching!!! All of the many materials I use for small group, whole group, and/or Daily 5 stations will now be very attractive to the eyes of my Kindergarten students! Thank you for turning our black and white classroom into an oasis of color and for "Coloring My World"!”

My future kindergartners deserve the chance to have different seating options available to them. This year in my Kindergarten classroom, I will be implementing The Daily 5, which is designed to teach children to build their stamina and independence in each of the Daily 5 tasks. The Daily 5 tasks are steeped in choice, which increases motivation and student intellectual engagement. These flexible seating options will make a great impact on my students' learning because they will have a choice to find their most comfortable seat to do their best work. The Daily 5 tasks lends itself to flexible seating options. Don't we all do our best work when we are the most comfortable?

About my class
