    Thank you so much for your generous gift of TI-Nspire graphing calculators for my Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics students. Your gift helped complete our class set; there is now one calculator for each students to use in class.

    My students are required to learn to use graphing calculator technology as part of the AP course requirements. In the field of statistics, there is a movement away from computation and towards analysis of values. Graphing calculators and computers can complete computation much more accurately, efficiently and with larger values than people can by hand. However, humans, and by extension, my students, are the only ones that can accurately interpret these values generated by technology to provide recommendations in the fields of business, medicine and politics, to name a few. Learning to input and interpret the data into these graphing calculators is vital to my students' success on both AP exams and in their future academic and professional pursuits.”

    My students are loving the brand-new TI-Nspire calculators. These new calculators are much more intuitive than the older TI-84s. Since my course focuses on statistics, the students are really liking the fact the that the calculator functions more like Excel than an ancient calculator-only program. My students can really see how this math course and calculator connects to their future in a variety of career choices.
