The Chromebooks for my students will assist them in coding, creating presentations, creating animations, engineering, and making their ideas come to life. As a Title I school, many of my students do not have access at home to appropriate levels of technology that can foster the next generation's engineers and creators. I am tired of seeing my students lose work from old laptops that die without warning, and while I appreciate group work, often times students in my class are forced to share computers and go work in other classrooms in order to have access to technology. It is difficult to make an idea come to life without access to the appropriate tools. Chromebooks will also give them digital access to current news and topics while providing them with online reading material that is appropriate to their reading level as gifted students. My students often read at a higher level than their on-level peers, so books and reading materials can be found online to address my students' reading levels while taking into account their development levels.
