I teach a specific group of students who are not proficient in the English Language and have been grouped into an "ELD" (English Language Development) classroom. On top of a language barrier, I also teach in a Title I school in a low socioeconomic area. Most of the positive role models these students see are on our campus or in the classroom. This will be my second year with these students, and I can say without a doubt each and every one of them has a drive to learn. We have built a rich learning community within our classroom and are constantly striving for our next goal! I am very proud of this group and how hard they work.
