STEM Wish: Entry Into the Microscopic World
Funded Nov 29, 2023The stereomicroscope is such a hit in the science lab! Students as young as 4 are observing feathers, butterfly wings, shells and more under the stereomicroscope seeing objects magnified at powers they've never before seen. What excitement when they can see the hairs on an butterfly wing!
Each week I've featured a new specimen and made a sign that says what's currently on view under the stereomicroscope. The beauty of the stereomicroscope is that you can use three dimensional specimens--not only slides, so eventually I hope to teach older students how to adjust and focus with the device.
I've dreamed for years of having a feature like this in the science lab, and your generosity made it happen. Thank you so much for believing in my project and making it a reality.
Cheers!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cahn
