On behalf of the students and staff at Stafford High School Life Skills and ATP Program, a Title I school, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions through Donors Choose. Your support is truly transformative and is making a profound impact on our students and classroom.

  At Stafford, many of our students face significant challenges that extend far beyond the classroom. Access to food and nourishment is one of the most pressing issues they face daily. Hunger can hinder a student's ability to focus, learn, and thrive academically. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to provide essential snacks and meals that nourish their bodies and minds.

  Your donations have not only helped fill stomachs but have also fostered a nurturing environment where students feel cared for and valued. For some of our students, the meals and snacks provided in our classroom are the only consistent source of nutrition they receive. Knowing that they have access to food has alleviated stress and allowed them to fully engage in their education.

  Beyond the immediate physical benefits, the impact of your support extends to fostering a positive learning environment. With full bellies, our students are more attentive, energized, and prepared to participate in classroom activities. This has contributed to better academic performance, improved social interactions, and enhanced overall well-being.

• Grandma's Care Closet

  Thanks to your generous contributions, our students have had transformative learning experiences that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. With the new resources, we've been able to elevate daily lessons and make learning hands-on and exciting.

  How We're Using the Snacks in Class

  Recently, we incorporated the snacks into a lesson on the different food groups. Each student was given a variety of snacks and asked to categorize them based on their food group, discussing which ones fit into grains, proteins, fruits, and more. This activity helped students make connections between real foods and the concepts we talk about in class.

  The Students' Reactions

  When our students first saw the new resources, their excitement was contagious! They were eager to explore, focus and engagement as they started their lessons, and it's truly inspiring to see their pride and joy in each activity, as they seek their daily rewards.

  Next Steps

  Our next project will involve learning about budgeting and shopping, where students will plan a shopping list and take a field trip to put their budgeting skills to the test. We're looking forward to watching their confidence continue to grow and are so grateful for your role in making these projects a reality.
