Year End Supplies!
Funded Mar 25, 2025Thank you for helping us finish out the school year successfully! Just today, a child told me that her notebook was almost at the end, so it is timely that we are receiving the notebooks in this project soon!
We are also having the students type and print out more of their work, so thank you for allowing us to receive more printer paper!
Lastly, the wipes and tissues are in such need right now! Some of our students' noses are red from so much blowing into dry, harsh tissues! I'm sure they will rejoice at receiving the tissues with lotion!
We are extremely grateful for all of your help this year!”

Funded Feb 27, 2025Thank you so much for your generous gift and helping us obtain these math materials. These manipulatives will go a long way in helping us teach our students who need to "see" the math concepts prior to moving on to more complex operations.
We appreciate all of the help you have given us!”

I Need to See It to Learn It!
Funded Nov 5, 2024Thank you for making this project possible! We can’t wait to get the materials! This will greatly improve our ability to have charts and individualized materials ready for the kids! Also we are running low on dry erase markers, so it’s great to know that some are on the way. Thank you so much for your kind donation!
Thank you!”

Color My World!
Funded Oct 26, 2024I can not overstate how much better it is to have quality color copies of reference materials/worksheets for my students! Thank you so much for helping us receive a color laser printer/copier! Your generous donations will help us to give our students personalized materials that will help give them a better learning experience.
I am so excited! Can't wait until they see the difference in the materials we have printed. Thanks again!”

Get That Dirt Off This Carpet!
Funded Oct 4, 2024Night and day! That is how our carpet has been described by students and the other adults working in my classroom this year. We have had a carpet that easily gets dirty throughout the day as our students sit for discussions, eat their snacks, or even step on the rug as they walk to their seats. We also have an after school program that uses our room/rug daily.
After so much wear, the rug gets pretty dirty pretty quickly and since we inherited it from the previous class teacher, it probably had at least a year's worth of dust and dirt on it. We did our best to sweep it clean, but it just wasn't looking great. Thanks to you, that is no longer the case!
As soon as we received the vacuum, I immediately put it to use! The next day, the children commented on the carpet looking "brighter". I believe the cleaner and more organized the classroom looks, the more motivated children are to attend school. Since they have a clean place to sit, they can better attend to their lessons and their reluctance to sit on the rug is gone.
Thank you so much for helping us to keep our carpet fresh and clean with the vacuum and the carpet cleaner!”

Send Sensory Stimulation!
Funded Sep 27, 2024Sometimes our students need to feel something in their hands while we are having a class discussion, when they are working in small groups, or even when they are working independently. Usually this comes as a repeated tapping of their pencils on their desks, notebooks or even on the floor. I don't mind it, but some of the other students can not stand to hear the tapping. This is why I am so glad that you helped to fund our project! We now have fidgets which have helped to lesson the effect of the constant tapping. When students need something to keep their hands occupied, we now have slime, play-doh, the weighted stuffed animal, or other little fidgets which help them keep their focus while something is quietly moving in their hands.
Not all students benefit from fidgets, (some view solely them as cool toys and lose focus if they have one), but the ones that do, immediately thanked us for getting them. So far, there are 3 students who've consistently benefited from these tools in our classroom. One repeatedly asks for the weighted lap blanket while working on writing and we have noticed a change in his writing stamina so far.
Thank you so much for adding these resources to our classroom!”

Keep the Germs Away and Little Tummies Fed!
Funded Sep 27, 2024Thank you once again for your help in ensuring that all of our students are well fed, healthy and happy. Your generous donations have helped us to give snacks to ALL of our students. We know how difficult it is to focus when you are hungry and unfortunately, some of our students are experiencing some food insecurity at home, so anything we can do to help alleviate that feeling of hunger is very much appreciated by our kids (and us teachers!).
We also received cleaning supplies which have, (so far), been helping to counteract the germs we know are ubiquitous at this time of year. Every so often, we hear our kids coughing or needing tissues all day. As soon as they leave for the day, we make sure we wipe down their desks, doorknobs, and shared materials such as pencils. So far, we haven't had any outbreaks of sicknesses such as the flu or COVID or anything like that. Our students are still coming at a rate of 94%!! We cannot thank you enough for all of your assistance.”

Help Us Create and Learn!
Funded Jan 10, 2023Thank you SO much! We can't believe our project was fully funded right when we needed these materials most! Our students are exhibiting a mid-year slump (after the winter break slowdown) and having these SEL and art activities will really help us to reinvigorate our class right now.
We sincerely appreciate all of the help you have given us by funding our project and can't wait to send you the children's notes and some pictures of them with their new activities.”

Funded Dec 1, 2021Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations! My class received the books that we asked for and the children are delighted! We have used these books during independent reading time in our class and some of the students have already begun to take the books home to read with their families.
They were all so excited to see new books in our classroom. One child, who would regularly say that they did not like Spanish and "I don't want to learn Spanish", all of a sudden has developed an interest in the language and is participating much more in classes. They have even taken turns leading the class review of Spanish letters/sounds!
All of this could not have been possible without the encouragement the children have received. Your donation, the books, helped spark an interest just as I had hoped it would.
We (teacher and parents) would like to send you our heartfelt appreciation. Thank you.”

Funded Aug 19, 2017Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donations have helped us in so many ways!
Thanks to you, we received writing process folders that have made such a difference in the ways our students write. These folders gave them the visual support they needed in order to work through the writing process - everything from giving them a place to keep their drafts, reminding them to revise and edit their work, and giving them lists of misspelled words to check. This has greatly improved the quality of their writing pieces.
The scissors, people color paper and crayons have allowed them to get very creative when it comes to their self-portraits. We hope to be able to post pictures soon so that you could see what they've done!”
