Inner City Kinder Kids Are Artists!
Funded Oct 7, 2019Thank you so much for funding my art grant for my young students! My students were excited to see the boxes arrive with all the art supplies. We had only one easel so it was difficult for all my 26 students to get to paint in one day now we have 2 easels and everyone has the opportunity to paint. My students especially love the class set of markers! They love to use them everyday to sketch their own creations or to use them in completing their assignments. We have used the construction paper to make books and to work on take home projects at home. Thank you for helping my kinder kids get the resources they need to be ARTISTS!!!❤️👍🏽😀🎉”

Funded Nov 30, 2017Thank You donors!!! My students and I appreciate your support! My students were so excited when our art supplies came in the mail! We all sat in a circle on the rug while unpacked all the boxes. They all cheered as I held up each item.My students love to draw and we use our crayons everyday! We have used the construction paper for our journals, art projects and we are currently making buildings, cars and signs for our community unit mural in our classroom. Thank you for making a difference in our classroom everyday!:)”

Inner City Kinder Kids Need Literacy Resources!

Kinder Kids Want to Read!
Funded Sep 15, 2014Thank You Google for your generous donation! We love our student magazines! They are a great literacy tool that I use at school and parents love to use at home.Our parents love that they have a resource that help their child become a successful reader that they can use at home! It's Christmas every month since we get a monthly set of student magazines and parent receive a parenting magazine with tips to use with their child! The magazine also has literacy activities that my students love working on in class. The subscription also includes mini-books! My kindergarteners LOVE learning to read!!!”

Funded Aug 13, 2014Thank You Debra for your generous donation for my Kinder Kids! My students love the crayola markers and use them everyday! The construction paper is invaluable! We have made books! We also use the paper to paint! My Kinder Kids love to paint every chance they get! They love being able to express themselves through art! Your donation has made it easier for me to incorporate art in every academic area. We have used the googly eyes for our farm animals this month. My students love creating works of Art and your donation has helped me provide the opportunities that my students need and LOVE!”

Help Kinder Kids Stay Fit & Healthy!
Funded Sep 15, 2014Thank You for generous donation for our Kindergarteners! We use our new physical education equipment everyday! Before your donation our students did not have any play equipment to play with during recess. Our students did not look forward to playing outside. They would rather play inside.Now our students are motivated to move and play outside!! They love using the hoola hoops.Our special needs students who are in wheelchairs are able to join in on the fun! They love the catch cones.Your donation has made a difference in our day! We have less behavior problems and our students are getting daily exercise they need to be fit & healthy!!!”

Inner City Kinder Kids Love To Draw!
Funded Dec 4, 2012My students and I would like to thank you for your generous donations! We were so excited to see all the boxes with my name. My students were thrilled, it was like Christmas! I unpacked each box and showed them all the wonderful art supplies. These resources have been used on a daily basis. My students use the markers, crayons and drawing paper to draw animals, people and places as part of our science and social studies units. It is wonderful to see their enthusiasm! We used the cardstock to create flash cards that students took home to practice alphabet letters & sounds and books in class. The paper towels were used on a daily basis to help clean up after our art activities and science activities. We also used the roll of white butcher paper for graphic organizers, charts and art projects.
Your generous donations have helped my students experience art on a daily basis in every subject area.

Kinder Kids Love Art!
Funded Dec 31, 2012My students and I want to thank you so much for your generous donations ! My students were all happy and surprised when the boxes arrived. I unpacked them one by one as they watched with glee. We used the construction paper to create books, mother's and father's day cards and end of unit books. We used the collage beads to create dream catchers and also used them for fine motor activities on a daily basis. My students used the twistable crayons for their illustrations and drawings. The playdough was a favorite resource to create letters & sculptures which also helped my young students strengthen their fine motor muscles . All these resources have helped my students love school & learning everyday.
Your donations have helped provide my students with the resources to create works of art on a daily basis. I feel that using visual art activities provide at-risk children with the opportunities to experience success and raise their self-esteem. Thank You for supporting public schools!”

Inner City Kinder Kids are Eager to Read & Write!
Funded Jan 22, 2012Thank You so much for helping fund my project! Due to the budget cuts to education, my school is unable to fund extra essential resources for my students. My students and I appreciate your generosity in helping public schools.
We used the magic boards to practice dictation, writing words and sentences on a daily basis. These magic boards helped us use less paper to save our planet. The ABC trace letters, ABC maze, teaching tubs and highlighting tape were part of our literacy centers and helped my student's learn about letter sounds and recognize the alphabet. My students enjoyed using the write and wipe boards to practice their sight words and practice their writing skills .
All the extra resources helped my students end the year as successful readers and writers! Thanks again for you generosity!”

Inner City Kids Need Books!
Funded Jan 31, 2012Thank You all for helping fund my donorschoose grant! Due to the budget cuts to education, my school does not have the funds to provide extra resources and/or books for my students.
These books were amazing! My students loved the Dr. Seuss books! They were the favorite books to read in our class library. The Dr. Seuss books helped my students learn about rhyming words and they enjoyed listening to the books being read aloud. The books on water helped supplement our science unit on water. They had beautiful vivid photographs that helped my students learn how water is an important resource that we need to conserve. The books on plants were part of our unit on plants, these books helped them learn about how plants grow and how we can grow our own fruits and vegetables.
Your generous donation helped my students learn how to read and developed their love for reading. Thank you for helping public schools, your donations enabled my students to have the resources they need to be successful in school.”
