I will place the cultural items, including the balero toys and Guatemalan friendship bracelets, in the class store. My students earn "wasserdolares," my own classroom currency, for participation in class. Students conduct business transactions completely in Spanish as they trade their "money" for fun and engaging items. They have the opportunity to practice their new language skills in a realistic way, that is also motivating and exciting for them. Students quickly learn real life phrases such as "¿Cuanto cuesta?" and "Quisiera . . ." This project allows me to provide a greater variety, quality, and quantity of products for our Spanish class store. Thanks for supporting our Spanish language learners!
