• Cricut for Kindness

  Thank you so much for helping us get a Cricut! This has been a wish list item for such a long time and it's so exciting to finally have one of these machines for our classroom. We are going to be able to do so many projects with this, but I'm really looking forward to making custom vinyl stickers for my students. I think having a sticker design that celebrates their progress in speech would be so meaningful for them. I can't wait to learn more about my students' favorite things by making personalized rewards that they will be excited to earn. Thank you for making this possible!”

As the year comes to an end, we feel prepared to start 2024 with our new planner. We can't wait to document all the learning and growth that will take place. • Communication in Color!

  Thank you so much for supporting our project and my apologies for taking so long to share my gratitude. This year has been extremely busy, but our load has been made so much lighter by being able to print in color! It is such a luxury to be able to have engaging and vibrant materials for my students thanks to your generosity. My students have also loved reading the stories and playing the fun games! Games have been the key to helping motivate my students to practice their speech and language goals. It has been awesome to watch them learn in such a fun way through games.”

• Bright Ideas Professional Development

  Thank you for supporting my professional development. By allowing me to go to professional development trainings, I am able to learn current strategies that I can use with my students during therapy sessions. BizCon was such a great experience because I was able to learn from other speech therapists and get their perspective on creating content and materials. My favorite training would have to be learning about publishing books. To have a book written by a speech therapist would be amazing because they know what topics need to be addressed through stories. I hope to be able to put what I learned into practice in the years to come. Thank you again!”

• Mini Objects to Target Massive Objectives!

  Funded May 10, 2023

  Who knew that mini objects could be so fun! These tiny manipulatives have been such a great motivator for my students to practice their speech goals. There are so many things we can do with the mini objects and my students always ask if we can use them. I heard another speech therapist recently explain that if your students are avoiding lessons it's because they aren't fun enough. Well, these little objects keep my students engaged for the entire session. I have just as much fun watching them practice their goals as they do playing (aka... learning).
