The projector will be used to increase the size and volume of storybooks (e.g. e-books, storybook videos) to help give my students an increased experience in learning and comprehending storybooks. The increase in sensory input will help increase their overall experience in understanding the storybooks which will then target skills in the following areas: semantics, morphology, syntax, comprehension, pragmatics, and speech sounds. A majority of my students come from low-income families, and their primary language at home is not English. Their parents work hard but lack the resources to increase exposure to the world and language around them. This project will increase my students' love for stories and storybooks, and hopefully this early foundation will be embedded in them and become a lifelong interest in them.
