  • Art Supplies: Celebrating Lunar New Year With Students With Autism

    Thank you so much for your generous support! Your contribution to our project, which provided vinyl materials for our art classroom, has already had a remarkable impact on our students, particularly those with autism.

    One of the first projects we've undertaken with the vinyl materials is creating sensory-friendly art pieces. Students have been able to use the vinyl sheets to design textured artworks that stimulate both their tactile and visual senses.

    The excitement in the room was palpable when we unveiled the vinyl materials. Many of the students had never worked with something so flexible, colorful, and interactive. One student, who usually struggles with fine motor tasks, was immediately drawn to the vinyl's smooth surface. They were able to peel, cut, and manipulate the material with ease, which sparked a newfound sense of confidence. Others enjoyed the bright colors and the different textures, which helped them engage in the project in a more meaningful way.”

  • Let’s Get Organized, Creating a Vibrant and Supportive Space

    I am thrilled to share the impact your generous contribution has had on my classroom and my students. With the new rolling cart to organize our art supplies, we've been able to bring a higher level of efficiency and creativity into our lessons. The students now have quick access to paints, brushes, markers, and other materials, making it easier to start projects without losing time searching for supplies. One of the first projects we used the cart for was a collaborative mural where students each contributed a unique design to reflect their personal interests.   • Board Games for Students With Autism

    I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generous support in providing our classroom with board games designed to help our students with autism build social skills and foster meaningful interactions. Your contribution has made a tangible difference in the way we approach socialization, communication, and teamwork in our classroom.

    Since receiving the board games, we've incorporated them into our daily routine as part of both structured and free playtime. One of the most impactful moments was during a cooperative game session. We used a board game that involved turn-taking and problem-solving, which was a perfect opportunity for students to practice patience, communication, and collaboration. For many of our students, these are areas they find challenging, so the game served as both a fun and structured way to engage with peers while developing these important skills.

    The reaction from the students when they first saw the games was truly heartwarming. There was a noticeable excitement and curiosity as they explored the colorful pieces and rules. Some students, especially those who are more withdrawn, were hesitant at first, but as we began to play together, I saw them gradually open up, ask questions, and even celebrate small successes with their classmates.
