My kindergarten students are a group of inquisitive 4 to 5 year olds who deserve the best chance to succeed in life. My students attend a school in California and they come from predominantly low income families. Most of my students live in high poverty. All of the students at our school participate in our free breakfast and lunch program. Most students are learning English as a second language. My students are excited to learn, but do not have many educational resources or opportunities outside my classroom. Their parents work long hours to make ends meet, often holding down 2-3 jobs at a time. School is often the only place where my students can experience the use of technology to be able to get ahead in life.
