    I would like to take this time to thank you for your generous contributions to our wonderful Kindergarten class. The copy machine has made it possible to modify homework assignments based on the students' understanding of daily lessons. I am now able to give very individualized practice sheets for each of my students.

    I would also like to express how important it was to have a DVD player with a remote. I can now pause, skip, and return to certain letters in the videos. I have also created DVD's for learning sight words needed for the next grade level. Once again I thank you on behalf of our class.”

  • It's About Time for Technology

    I would like to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for funding eight tablets, and nine very good quality headphones. I used them all today for the first time. I was able to have students working quietly on the Smarty Ants app. This app allows children to learn at their own pace. This center gave me the opportunity to work with other students in small groups. It was wonderful because for the first time, I was not interrupted. This truly changes how we will be learning from now on. Thank you so very much.”

We need these tablets for a learning center. A group of 8 students will use the school's ST Math, Smarty Ants programs to learn skills that are presented to them at their individual pace. The rest of the class will rotate from centers to centers until all students use the tablets for 20 minutes, daily. These centers allow me to pull students for one on one instruction, intervention, and enrichment. I have 28 Kindergarteners that focus better in those small groups, and with one on one instruction. These devices will be a great way to introduce young children to computers while teaching them at their individual levels.
