  • Empowering Young Minds Through Art Supplies

    One of the things that I've been most excited about in starting my teaching career is helping students to feel free and inspired to create! You have been integral to helping me reach this goal. My students can't contain their excitement when they know we are going to be doing art. We recently did a project after reading the story "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds. The students were inspired to make their marks and see where it would take them. Through this project, they also learned about the importance of adopting a growth mindset and challenging themselves to do hard things. I can't wait to watch them to continue to grow artistically.   • A New Adventure!

    Because of your generous support, my students have an engaging learning environment that they are excited to be in every day. The amount of times I hear "I love our classroom," or "I'm so excited to learn" a week makes my new-teacher heart soar, and it wouldn't have been possible without your help. When the students first walked in at the beginning of the year, their faces lit up, and they have yet to dim! The materials for the bulletin boards helped to lay the perfect foundation for which to display my student's work. The students love being the calendar helper. We use the flip chart paper and mini white boards on a daily basis. They are great academic resources and have helped to provide visual support for my students. With your help, we had exactly what we needed to have a successful start to the school year. Thank you so much!”

  • Last-Minute Classroom Basics

    Your support has helped me give my students a classroom environment that has quickly cultivated a genuine love for learning. We now have a beautiful library where students can comfortably explore the wonderful world of books. Everyday, my students look forward to their turn to sit in the library and read. The organized books and comfy cushions make our library the favorite area of the classroom which has led to an early love of reading.

    My students also love and respond really well to the hand chime. It provides a calm yet effective way to grab students' attention. The other materials, such as the magnet clips and staple gun have benefitted the classroom in allowing me to post aesthetically-pleasing visuals that also provide academic supports that students can reference. You've truly been integral in helping us have a successful start to the year. Thank you so much!”

  • Enriching Our Library With Diverse Literature

    With your help, my students have access to a library filled with incredible books that have already sparked a love of reading in them. By having books that represent the diverse population of my students, not only do they get to see themselves and their families in the stories they read, but they are exposed to different perspectives, voices, and experiences.

    We are working on identifying why people tell stories and what we can learn from them. I've had the absolute delight of watching my students become fully enthralled in every story and express their own thoughts in response to them. My students' favorite place in our classroom has become the library, and that's all thanks to your support.”
