    Thank you so much for your kind donations to our classroom project, STEM Fun: Hands-on for Math and Engineering. The students absolutely loved all the many choices of hands on materials. They were able to learn more concepts and also more advanced topics as a result of having access to these wonderful materials.

    Students could not get enough of the brain teaser puzzle and it remained a favorite throughout the year, with students frequently requesting to do it. All of the materials were useful. Students were able to learn and grasp so much more because of these materials.

  • All About Math!

    Thank you for your support of the "All About Math!" project! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to bring multiple new Math resources into the classroom!

    The students loved the Must-Know Math Skills activity books. We were able to order two different levels to support students to work with the skills they were ready to practice.

    We obtained five new hands-on manipulatives for students to work with to investigate math skills. They were so excited when the box of materials arrived and they couldn't wait to start using the items.”

  • POP! Using BrainPOP to Get Kids Excited About Learning

    Thank you for amazing generosity in helping get this project funded! The students were so happy to use this resource. It is such a useful tool in the classroom. It is wonderful to have support from donors in getting access to great resources like this.

    Brainpop is a wonderful tool for introducing topics in a fun and engaging way. Students enjoy the videos and interactive quizzes. It helps students develop a framework to receive new content by seeing concepts in a visual way. The students really respond to the characters presented in this medium.”

  • Exploring the World with Scholastic Magazines

    Thank you for your generous donations that provided our class with Scholastic magazines. The students loved receiving new content each issue. They were always looking forward to getting the next magazine.

    Using these magazines in the classroom helped students stay current on issues and events, while appropriate to their learning level. It also provides a great opportunity for students to take them home to share their learning with their families.

    The students are thrilled to have these new books in our classroom. They were so excited to learn of your generosity which enabled us to provide these amazing resources. The books all feature ideas related to emotions or feelings.

    The students are able to learn about the variety of human emotions. They are better able to understand and name their own feelings, and to be more tolerant of others.

    We read several books related to the idea of invisible buckets, or being a bucket filler. They really enjoyed those stories. Thanks to you, dear donors, the students are growing each day in ways that help them to be better, kinder people.”

The parents are busy, working families who are very supportive of their children. My students have varied needs and some need extra support to be successful. What brings it all together is that I love each and every one of them and want to ensure that they love learning every day of second grade!
