What a surprise to my students that we had new activities for the end of the year in our learning stations! We did the big revel before we put it in our STEM Wall and I went over how we received our donations. They all said that this was so great that they helped us learn and I agree! Thanks you so much for your support in helping my little learners and being an incredible part of their academic journey!

Adding additional resources in STEM is so valuable as we are needing extra support with having hands on activities for students. You have allowed this to happen and rest assured that your donation will continue to be used, explored and appreciated.”

  • Help Our Kindergarten Grow

    Funded Oct 31, 2018

My scholars were thrilled to be using their new technology and do many projects in the classroom. This is very exciting for them due to the fact that many of them do not have use to technology at home. Thank you so much for trusting and believing in our young learners who will be our next future leaders. We try to incorporate technology in all subjects. It is my goal to continue to strive to get chrome books to every student to use independently in our classroom. We are still rebuilding and working to regain normalcy in our schools for our scholars after Harvey. Again we say thank you for your support!”

  • We've Got The Power!

    Funded Feb 6, 2018

It is always a joy when we see that a Donors Choose package has arrived. My scholars think that they are the happiest students alive. I always have a huge presentation when opening the packages. The students brainstorm where they think that particular resource is going in our room. When they saw that it was going in the technology station they were so grateful. They made comments such as " Now we can really learn fast because we have new Ipads"/Our tech stations are the greatest!"

Technology is such an important piece in our students learning each day. They are required even kinder, to incorporate writing/research into their daily curriculum. Thank you for making our lives more assessable to the world by allowing us to be funded these great resources in technology.”

The classroom and see not only what their scholar is working on but they are

Given a chance to work one on one with skills that they need special attention

To or accelerate from with our family skills go, see and do activity hour.

The parents that can not come and meet also have access to checking out these

  • We Like to Move It, Move It!

    Funded Nov 27, 2017

It is with gratitude that I say thank you for finding it in your heart to fund my grant. The materials came right on time when it was a inclement weather day and were revealed and used. Scholars saw the materials coming in the boxes and could not wait to see what special items had arrived. I discussed the title of the grant and why I wrote it for them. One of my scholars said "Wow someone really loves us and wants us to learn and move, Right" ? Yes and agreed.

I will continue to utilized the materials in and out of the classroom. I have gotten with our PE staff to collaborate how Kindergarten needs to continue working on fine motor skills as well as gross motor skills. With these materials we can work together to create a well rounded scholar ready for the world of academic opportunities.

Again we thank you for making this grant possible for opening up a wonderful world of movement and learning to my young scholars.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Broomfield

Students in the library are enthusiastic about learning and exploring their world. They learn through hands-on activities and soak up learning about everything, from dinosaurs and Dr. Seuss to astronauts and firefighters. We spend our days singing and dancing as we learn. They love to explore using hands-on activities to make and read words. We act out our math problems. Our students come from a very diverse community. Some speak other languages at home. Some struggle economically. Some are even homeless. But they all come to school eager to learn everything they can! And I have never worked a day at teaching-it does not feel like a job to me.
