They love going to the dramatic play center because there is a costume of interest for each child. The students have enjoyed exploring the different dress up careers and pretend to be that person. And in our TK classroom technology is important because now my students take their tests online. Having a touch screen for their little fingers to test on is so important. They are all very excited to use "teacher's computer" to take their tests. They feel so independent when they have to scroll down to the next question or when they touch for their answer.

    Every student in my classroom benefits from our awesome gift because of your generosity. They love feeling accomplished when they finish testing. Every student feels like a "big kid" because they get to use "teacher's computer", take their test independently, and show me that they did it on their own. My students need two Chromebooks. I want to teach my students that technology cannot only be used for playing games, but it can be used in advantageous manners to expand and share knowledge. With these Chromebook, my students will be designing presentations using Google Docs to share their opinions on certain topics and to conduct research on their favorite animal, create a report, and share their research with their community at our science fair. The Chromebooks will allow my students to collaborate with one another, while being engaged in interactive challenging activities. My students will not only be tech-savvy 2nd graders, but they will be equipped with skills and abilities that will help them be successful in college and in any career they decide to pursue in the 21st century. Your donation will change the lives of these students forever. According to statistics, due to their backgrounds and other circumstances that surround them, many are not expected to attend college or even graduate from high school. Your donation may not only increase their love for learning, but it will open more doors and possibilities for them because you will have given them the tools they need to acquire essential skills that are demanded today in our technology-based society.
