• Diverse Reads, Disinfectant Wipes, and More!

  Thank you for your donation towards this project! The students were so excited to see all of the new things in our classroom that were funded by this project. The large digital clock has been very helpful. Also, this project funded many new books that the students are still reading on a daily basis in the classroom. While it may not be as exciting, the Lysol wipes are also an essential part of our daily cleaning routine and it has been so helpful to have them ready to use each day. • Diverse Reads, Sensory Tools, and More!

  Funded May 24, 2021

  Thank you for your donation toward this project! Students were overjoyed to use the Play-Doh, kinetic sand, and more sensory tools today during quiet time. Quiet time is many students favorite part of the day. During quiet time, students are given time to relax and quietly enjoy different sensory stations. This project also funded many diverse text. The diverse text are read by students daily during reading workshop time. During reading workshop, students independently enjoy reading books. The diverse text provide an opportunity for diverse students to see many characters that share parts of their culture.”

• Radiant Rugs and Fabulous Filters

  Thank you for your donation towards this project! We were so excited to see how quickly our new rugs and air filters arrived. Students were beyond excited to see rugs return to the classroom this year! The two rugs are already being used every day in our fourth grade classroom. Students are loving sitting on the rugs during independent reading time. They also are using clipboards so that they can enjoy time on the rug during math time! While the filters are not quite as beautiful as the new rugs, they have already replaced the filters from last year.”

• Diverse Reads

  Thank you for your contribution towards funding our diverse reads project. Reading workshop is one of the most important parts of our learning day. During reading workshop, students have about a half hour to read any book that they pick. Having new diverse text makes the reading workshop time so much more impactful and engaging for students. Students are able to fall in love with the diverse characters in these books. Many of the books purchased in this project are series books so there are multiple books with the same diverse character.”

• Back to School Basics

  Thank you for your donations toward our back to school supplies project! This project funded supplies that will be used on a daily basis by students like pencils, folders, notebooks, and much more. Having these supplies ready and waiting for students on day one will make for a seamless transition for many students back in to in person learning! Also, this project funded supplies like bulletin board boarder and birthday charts. These decorations will add a vibrant and beautiful vibe to our classroom!”

• Diverse Reads

  Thank you so much for your donation towards this diverse reads project! This project brought some amazing new books into our classroom. As we continue stressing the importance of Women's History Month, the students are enjoying reading books about Kamala Harris, Dr. Patricia Bath, Mary Shelley, and many more outstanding women! Also our school has transitioned back to learning five days a week in the classroom so having new and diverse books for independent reading time is extremely helpful! Students have loved reading the Jaden, Yazmin, and Pedro series as many of these characters provide students "mirrors" in the stories. Thank you again for your support.”

  Thank you so much for your donation to our diverse reads project. We always feel so excited and lucky to bring new books into our classroom. This project specifically brought lots of books that have Indigenous characters into our classroom. Also, this project brought lots of series books that have diverse characters into our classroom. Students absolutely love to read a series of books that have the same character and it is fabulous for them to see that same diverse character across a series of books!

• Primary Classroom Computer

  Thank you so much for your generous donations towards a new main classroom computer and new airpods. As our year continues, I am able to see more and more how important the working from home days are and how having a functioning system on those at home days is very important! The new computer has been working perfectly and the new airpods make hearing the students so much easier. The rest of our blended learning days have gone so much smoother, thanks to your donations! • Necessary Classroom PPE

  Thank you so much for your donation towards our classroom PPE project. Luckily, we were able to get all of the supplies before the start of our first in person learning day. Coming into our room feels just a little safer knowing that we have two new air purifiers! The air filters are big and very quiet which made our first day of in person learning a smooth ride yesterday! We are trying the best that we can to stay safe and healthy while learning in person and this requires so many new supplies that we just didn't need that much last year. • Back to School Basics

  Thank you so much for your donation to our Back to School Basics projects. Our first day of school went so smoothly as students were able to report to school without the worry of carrying loads of supplies. They were thrilled to step into the new room (after months of learning at home) to see all their folders and notebooks already labeled and ready for them at their seats! After day one of learning, we are already starting to use tons of the tissues that were funded.
