Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall, Organize Us All
Funded Apr 3, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity and commitment to our classroom. The kids have loved the new mirror and organizer. They have loved being able to try on the new costumes and shoes to engage in deeper dramatic play roles while playing. The girls especially, have loved the new dress up shoes and have begun to learn to tie their shoes when putting their sneakers back on. The costume vests have also allowed for their to be more costumes not only in the dramatic play center, but in all the centers.
Thank you again so much for supporting our room. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Dec 21, 2022Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. Printer ink is such a necessity for teachers and for students. We recently have been studying clothing and we have been able to print of templates of clothing for the students to be able to design and color. The ink has also gone to help us print of letter writing sheets for students to practice proper formation of the letters in their names.
Thank you again for your support and generosity. We would not be able to print out things for the students without you. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Play Doh Is The Way To Go, Don't You Know
Funded Dec 16, 2022The art center has become the most popular thanks to the new Play Doh. The kids have loved getting to play with it. So many of them have said "My mom doesn't let me play with Play Doh." The kids have had such a great time using using the cutters to make their own creations. And the silicone mats have made clean up a breeze.
The Play Doh has been an added benefit for my students who struggle with fine motor strength. They are able to use the Play Doh to pat, roll, and squeeze to help strengthen their hands, which will help them with pencil control and writing.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity. We would not have been able to provide these materials to our students without you. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Basics for Creating Interactive Activities
Funded Dec 9, 2022Thank you so much for helping to make this project a reality. We have been able to create sets of file folder games for students to take home and to use in the classroom. Our students letter - sound connection and number recognition has increased dramatically since students started using them. Five of my students have all put mastered recognizing all of their letters and connecting them to their sounds. The rest of my students are on their way to mastering them.
Thank you again. It is because of your support and generosity we were able to provide these games to students. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Dec 9, 2022Thank you so much for your support and generosity. Thanks to your help, we were able to keep the germs down and kids in school this flu season. The cleaning wipes allowed us to disinfect tables, chairs, nap mats, and toys regularly so germs wouldn't spread. Students have also loved taking responsibility for cleaning using the baby wipes. Since the disinfectant wipes are to harsh for their hands, students "precleaned" sticky parts of tables and chairs allowing adults to disinfect afterwards.
The paper towel has also been a HUGE help in teaching the kids responsibility for cleaning up their own messes. When a spill or mess happens, students are able to get their own paper towel to clean up their mess.
Thank you again for your support and generosity. We would not have been able to keep the classroom clean and students healthy this winter without your support. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Dec 9, 2022Thank you so much for your support of our classroom and students. The kids have been loving the new art easel and being able to all use the easel at the same time. This new easel has allowed for all 4 kids to participate at the same time and engage in sharing materials and expressing themselves artistically.
When the kids saw the new easel they were so excited. They had fun helping me put the easel together and deciding where to put it in the classroom. The see through shelves have allowed for students to easily access the materials they need without having to transfer them from other shelves and parts of the room.
Thank you again for your support and generosity. We could not provide these materials to our kids without your support. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Nov 25, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity and support of our classroom. Our students have been loving these new tree materials and have helped to enhance our study of trees. The leaf rubs and stencils have been so much fun for students to use to create their own leaf rubs. Using crayons in a different manner to rub has also helped to strengthen their fine motor skills as well.
Students have also been working on their number identification and quantity match with the ladybugs. It has been a great way for students to work cooperatively to share the materials and find the matches.
The giant letter leaves have also provided students will a different way to learn the letters in their name and how to spell their name. When given the letters in their name, students have been working to identify them and put them in order.
Thank you again so much for your generosity and support. It is because of people like you, I am able to provide my students will the best learning opportunities. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

"Egg"cellent Opportunity to "Pop"sicle Into Learning
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness to our classroom. Our students have been loving the new materials and it's great to use as an informal assessment of which letters and numbers our kids know. It's also great to see them making connections between letters they see and letters in students' names.
The kids were so excited when these new materials came. They have loved being able to make scrambled eggs on the stove or enjoy a relaxing popsicle while pushing their baby in a stroller.
Thank you again so much for your generosity and kindness. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Oct 4, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity and support. We have been having so much fun using our art supplies now that they are all organized. Students have been able to easily find and use all of the art supplies we have for their art projects. It is amazing the creativity that shines through when students are left to explore different materials.
When students first saw the canisters full of art materials, they instantly started planning what they were going to do with the materials. The next steps for us will be to keep the canisters full so kids can keep their creativity alive.
Thank you again for your generosity and support to our classroom. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Oct 21, 2022Thank you so much for your support of our "Constructing of Creativity" project. Students have been having such a great time letting their creativity out with this seemingly endless supply of construction paper. They have had free range to cut and paste, draw and color, and write in every center. In the short time we have had the construction paper, kids cutting skills have improved dramatically. They have gone from snipping at paper to cutting straight lines and shapes.
Thank you again for your generosity and supporting our classroom. We always say it takes a village to raise a Malcolm X, thank you for being part of our village.”
