Essential Supplies for Effective Learning
Funded Dec 3, 2024Thank you so much for your support of our project. The kids have been loving the new little pencils for writing their names each day. They have also been found taking them into other centers for writing and drawing. We have also been able to laminate lots of resources so we can properly label our shelves and create interactive materials for students. Labeling the buckets and shelves have helped students during clean up time so they know where everything belongs. The interactive materials have also been helping students with their letter and number recognition.
Thank you again for your support and generosity. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Nov 13, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity to our classroom. These bins have been so helpful in getting our math games organized and into centers. Once a game is introduced, we put it in one of the colored bins and put it in the learning center that the color coordinates with. Since the games has been introduced to students, this allows for students to play a familiar math game with their peers, regardless of which center they choose to play in for the day.
Students have loved the independence of being able to play the math games on their own without adult support and often pick their center based on which math game they can play in the center. We have already started to see an increase with students number recognition and counting skills because of the additional access they have had to the math games.
Thank you again for your support and generosity to our classroom. We would not have been able to provide this math game bins to our students without you. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Dec 3, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and our youngest learners. These painting supplies will go such a long way in supporting their creativity and artistic expression. The first thing the kids said when they saw the paint was "WOW! Do we get to use that?" Students helped to open the paint bottles and fill the small painting bottles. We loaded them onto the art easel to prepare for center time.
The first time the kids used them we couldn't get them out of the art center. They were having so much fun exploring the colors and brushes. At this age, art is about the process and not the project. The kids loved just moving the brushes up and down, exploring how the brush moved across the paper.
Thank you again for your support and generosity to our classroom. We could not provide these materials to our students without you. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded Oct 16, 2024THANK YOU so much for helping us to provide all of our students with hats and mittens this winter. It is heartbreaking as an adult to see a child arrive to school crying because their hands or ears are so cold. Thanks to your generosity, that will not happen this school year.
When we showed the children the new hats and gloves they were so excited. We laid them all out on the table for them to view and allowed them to pick their favorite ones out and take them to the playground for a "test run". Despite it being pretty frigid out, hands and ears stayed nice and toasty.
Thank you again for your generosity and helping to keep our students warm this winter. We would not have been able to provide students with hats and mittens without your support. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Cooking Up Some Good Learning
Funded Aug 17, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and our youngest learners. These materials have enhanced our dramatic play center so much and have helped students be able to act out real live scenarios. Students have been setting the table for meals and cooking up some "gummy bears" in the air fryer. They are also using the broom and dustpan to clean up their messes after they are done eating.
Thank you again for your support of our classroom. These materials have added an extra layer of engagement to our dramatic play center while promoting positive relationships an communication with their peers. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Paint by Sticks
Funded Oct 8, 2024Thank you so much for your support and generosity to our youngest learners and their creativity. The kids have loved having these paint sticks in the art center to use during center time. The paint sticks are easy for little hands to use independently and dry fast enough that there is little mess and blending of colors. We have made classroom feelings spots and have begun to make holiday crafts as well.
We cannot thank you enough for your support of our project and helping to expand our students' creativity. We would not be able to provide these materials to our students without you. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Labeling Our Way To Success
Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for your support and generosity to our classroom. These materials went such a long way in helping us to relabel and make displays for our classroom with enough materials left over for next year as well. The new labels helped students to easily find which buckets materials went in and what shelves the buckets went on. This helped them to be more independent and take responsibility for cleaning up after themselves.
Thank you again for your generosity and support. We could not do it without you. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”

Funded May 7, 2024Thank you so much for your support our Ziplock bag project for our math games. Students have been having so much fun being able to pull their favorite games off the shelf to play by themselves and with their friends. These bags have helped so much in the organization of our games and for helping to facilitate independence amongst our students. The growth we have seen in our students' counting and number recognition skills in just a few short weeks is amazing. We cannot wait to see the growth students will make in years to come when they have access to their games and materials for a full school year.
Thank you again for your support and generosity to our project. We could not do it without. We always say "It takes a village to raise a Malcolm X." Thank you for being part of our village.”
