Snack Time
Funded Aug 2, 2022My students were able to get a snack in the middle of their school day thanks to your generous donations. Hungry children can't focus and having so many good snacks to choose from really made their day better!
My students were very excited to have snacks to choose from. Being fed and nourished was one less thing I or they had to think about during the day.
As the school year gets closer to its end, my students are working hard on reading and preparing for their summer break! Thank you again for brightening their school day.”

Phonemic Awareness
Funded Dec 31, 2022Thank you so much for making this project a reality for my students. I cannot wait to use this curriculum in the new year and see my students continue to grow! These resources will be an important piece of literacy instruction in my classroom. Again, thank you much for your support.”

Decodable Texts
Funded Nov 3, 2022The texts provided because of your donations have increased student engagement and built their confidence when reading independently. Students who are practicing decoding simple words now have interesting books that are challenging but not unattainable.
In my classroom, students are reading these texts independently as well as in a small group setting. I have been able to use these texts to monitor students' progress in their ability to decode, blend, and even comprehend the texts they are engaging with.
Students who were previously frustrated by reading are now becoming better readers and I can see the joy in their eyes when they understand the story they are reading. They are proud of their accomplishments and they can see the progress they have made. These books have made reading a fun activity that students look forward to each day and I cannot thank you enough for creating that experience for my students.”

Our Class Library
Funded May 5, 2022The texts provided by this project have helped my students from both last and this school year. Students have been able to read texts that better represent what they look like, how they feel, or what they are interested in. We have been able to read books about character education, funny fiction stories that helped reinforce the skill of retelling story elements, and nonfiction books that piqued my students' curiosity and led them to do their own further research on the topic or person they read about.
Students read on their own, in partners, in small groups with me, and of course, listen to a read-aloud daily. These books are versatile enough to be used in almost all settings and we are all so thankful to have them to choose from!
Thank you so much for the donations and support that made this project possible. Students are more engaged in their learning because of you!”

Ms. Smith
