Engaging Sensory Toys for Students with Autism!
Funded Dec 31, 2024Thanks to your support, we were able to provide sensory toys that my students LOVE such sensory floor tiles, wobble board, mini textured mats, oral motor sensory chews, and other materials that helped students regulate sensory input, reduce anxiety, improve focus. These resources became an essential part of our classroom, allowing students to feel more comfortable and engaged in their learning. I witnessed firsthand how these tools fostered a sense of calm and boosted concentration, ultimately supporting their academic and social development. Because of your generosity, we created a space where all students felt valued, supported, and ready to learn. Your impact extended far beyond our classroom walls, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to empowering students with diverse learning needs.”

Funded Aug 21, 2024Thank you for your generous support of our *Axolotl Tank Upgrade* project! The new materials have transformed our classroom, providing an engaging and hands-on way for my students to learn about science and responsibility. We use the tank of axolotls for many things, such as observing the axolotls' behaviors and discussing concepts like ecosystems, water quality, and the needs of living organisms. Next, we'll be diving deeper into learning about ecosystems by creating simple models of food chains that include our axolotls as real-life examples. These steps are helping my students build a deeper connection to science, and the sense of responsibility they've gained from caring for our classroom animals is invaluable. Your support has made this incredible learning experience possible, and I couldn't be more grateful!”

Funded Aug 21, 2024Thank you for supporting our classroom through your generosity! The resources from the *File Folder Resources* project have already made a meaningful impact on my students, who are in grades 1-5 and face unique challenges as learners with autism. These materials are helping us create structured, engaging learning opportunities that meet their individual needs. The file folder activities allow for hands-on, interactive learning, helping students practice critical skills like counting to 20, identifying letters and numbers, and sorting shapes and colors in a manageable, step-by-step format. For students with autism, having a clear beginning, middle, and end to an activity helps reduce anxiety and fosters focus, while also encouraging independence as they work at their own pace. The colorful visuals and manipulatives are particularly exciting for the students, as each folder feels like a new "game" to explore. One student who typically struggles with engagement has shown newfound enthusiasm, confidently completing sorting activities and building foundational skills while growing their self-confidence. Thanks to your kindness, my students are learning in ways that are both meaningful and effective for them, and your support is truly helping them thrive.”

Funded May 7, 2024The new Lego sets have greatly enhanced our after-school Lego club. Students use them for creative building projects, which help develop their engineering and problem-solving skills. One notable project had students designing and building miniature-themed worlds.
The students were thrilled upon seeing the new Lego sets, reacting with joy and eagerness. Their creativity and enthusiasm soared. For instance, a group collaborated to build a detailed cityscape, which fostered teamwork and enhanced their math and spatial reasoning skills.
The Lego sets have made our after-school program more dynamic and engaging. Thanks to our donors, our students are building more than just models; they are building their futures. We look forward to continuing this growth in our Lego club.”

Funded Oct 8, 2023This project has helped my students be successful when they are on their chromebooks! They go on fun, educational programs daily and it helps them stay engaged while learning. It's been so nice to be able to provide these to students who didn't have them or even students whose headphones broke. Headphones seem like such a small thing to want to be able to provide for them, but I also want them to not have to worry if they don't come with supplies. I want to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable in my classroom. Thank you so much for thinking of and helping us.”

Lego Club
Funded Oct 8, 2023Thank you so much for donating to LEGO CLUB! We are having so much fun in our first session and have two more sessions planned before the end of the year. We are currently doing a K-2 club and a 3-5 club, both once a week. The kids are absolutely loving being creative with Lego! LEGO club encourages them to learn while having fun. Creativity, problem solving, and teamwork are some of the skills that "playing" with LEGO help children develop. I hope you know your help and support means a lot to me and my students.... just look at how big their smiles are in the photos! Thank you so much!”
