  • A Little Help To A Fresh Start

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation means the world to me and your students. The snacks have been amazing in filling up those hungry bellies so that my students are able to focus on the tasks and learning at hand. The supplies have been so helpful in maintaining organization of their learning space while supplies like highlighters are helping students keep track of their vocal line in the choir score. It's also helping the music theory students highlight important terms and concepts, allowing them to take good class notes for their studies. Thank you so much for helping us this season.”

  • Organizing Harmony: Enhancing Student Success Through Effective Classroom Environment

    Funded Sep 3, 2024

Thank you so very much for your generosity. Your support in providing my students snacks have kept the children's belly from rumbling during class. Not only have you fueled their belly, but you've also fueled their brains. The fitness equipment (fitness bands and boxing gloves) you provided my students have helped them with core engagement while they sing, allowing them to work on their voice range and projection. It's been so lovely to have the equipment on hand to help my students. We absolutely cannot thank you enough!”

  • Celebrating Small Wins Harmoniously

    Funded Mar 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity. From your donation my students were able to fill their bellies between gaps in the day so that they can focus on learning and rehearsing.

The granola bars and crackers gave my students a palatable boost and the cookies given during rehearsal breaks served as a great way for students to break bread with one another. There was a particular break where I spotted a group of high schoolers swapping out cookie halves to create new flavors of Oreos. It was simply the most adorable thing to witness; a moment where teens live their moments as kids. It was truly a heart warming instant. Thank you for providing resources for these moments.”

  • Starting The Year On The Right Foot!

    Funded Oct 7, 2023

Thank you for providing my classroom essentials to make for an organized and welcoming learning environment. Please know that it is with your generosity that my students are able to learn in a colorful and welcoming room. From the markers to the adhesive, and even the wire ties, all these materials played an important role in sharing reminders, new vocabulary, and to keep students safe from tipping over electrical wires on the ground, so we thank you for making it all happen!

Also, we are so grateful for the snacks you provided the classroom. As you can imagine, with school starting so early in the day, many of my high schoolers run out of the house without breakfast. However, with your donations, my students have had snacks made available to them to fuel their bodies for the day of learning. So, again, thank you for helping me take care of my students' needs.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jung

  • Fuel For The Brain!

    Funded Oct 19, 2023

Our deepest gratitude for your support and generosity. As you may know, NYC's All City High School Chorus is the founding ensemble of the All City Music Program that now houses a total of 7 ensembles in NYC. Each Saturday, students travel from all 5-boroughs to make music with likeminded talents and study with the best of the best music teachers across the NYC DOE system. As the principal conductor of the chorus, it has been my goal to not only give my students the best music training, but to build a community of music makers. In doing so, our short 15 minute breaks have become invaluable bonding time for our students and your snacks is how our students "break bread" with one another. Moreover, it also helps provide our singers a boost to complete the final leg of rehearsal and for that, I thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jung

  • Fuel for the Brain!

    Funded Dec 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity in donating my students an abundance of snacks to keep them fueled for the day. A lot of people underestimate the power of a snack during the long hours of school. Your breakfast bars also such a great help in bringing breakfast to students who are rushing out of their homes in the morning, and to those who are not able to have breakfast before school. Please know that your donations are also going towards students in our Saturday choir and plays an integral part of our community snack time, where students bond and get to connect with one another. We are so grateful that you see the value in working on a full belly, especially this season where a lot of my choir kids are incorporating movement into their studies. on behalf of my students, we thank you with our full hearts.”

  • A Little Food for the Brain Goes a Long Way

    Funded Sep 15, 2022

Thank you for the generosity of your donation. My students were so happy to see the granola bars, crackers, and fruit snacks. It warmed my heart to know that I was able to help a hungry child feel cared for and I couldn't do it without your donation. The crackers and fruit snack were such great options for students who have peanut allergies. Sometimes, students with peanut allergies often get left out of all the goodies, but not in this class! In choir, they know they can always fill their hungry bellies. Thank you so much for caring for my students and allowing them the opportunity to learn without sacrificing a basic need. May your holiday be filled with the warmth and joy you gave to my students. Happy holidays and thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jung

  • The Best Way To Create!

    Funded Aug 18, 2022

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Because of your generosity, our classroom is on its way to becoming vibrant and warm. Your donations to simple, every day items like tissues and paper towels, are aiding students when they have a runny nose or a spill (which happens often in choir with all the bottle of water they bring). The adhesive are helping the awesome posters and sign stay on out walls. I know that may seem like a silly thing to say, but when you have non-smooth walls it's difficult to get even a feather to stay up. And let's not forget about all the nutritious and yummy snacks you provided for our classroom! Just today, I had over 10 students who left their house on empty bellies. Like someone wise once told me, being hungry is such an unnecessary distraction so I thank YOU for helping my students stay focused.”

  • Tackling Remote Learning in the Music Classroom

    Funded Sep 18, 2020

Thank you so much for you support and generosity. The standing desk, remote mouse and keyboard, were super helpful during remote learning. The standing desk gave my students, and myself, a chance to get away from sitting all day long during remote learning. The wireless mouse and keyboard helped the standing desk move around the classroom with ease. They were all amazing to have in the classroom and certainly helped when we had returned to hybrid teaching in the classroom. Again, thank you so much for your support.”

My students are super creative and talented beings. They love new challenges and are eager to immerse themselves into a "learning through discovery" environment, an atmosphere that I strive to create and foster in the classroom. My students are passionate musicians who are learning to become story-tellers and artists through their love of music and arts. They come to class every day ready to make connections with themselves and others through affective learning goals. In my classroom community, the students are given platforms to be the agent of their own artistry. My job is to provide them with tools that help them make good musical choices and opportunities that allow them to explore and create. In class, we learn empathy towards others as well as ourselves and we are so grateful for any assistance we get along the way.
