Our TR classroom is home to a diverse group of high school artists. Here, we celebrate student voice, the joy of experimentation and creative problem solving, the excitement of creating work, and the impact of the visual arts in the world around us. Projects often feature recycled or repurposed materials and a STEAM focus.
Situated in a low income community, many of our students are minorities and economically disadvantaged. Yet they are enthusiastic and strive to grow and succeed. Our art students compete in a wide variety of local, state, and national competitions and exhibitions. We also host a chapter of the National Art Honor Society, where students promote art awareness through projects, campus beautification, and community service.
