Hi! My name is Mary Slater and I am a 1st grade teacher at R.C. Longan Elementary School. I am in my eighth year of teaching and I absolutely LOVE my job. It is wonderful to have such a fulfilling career that I am so passionate about. My classroom services Special Education, Gifted, Speech, and ESL student populations. As a school, we have a population that is over 50% free and reduced lunch, but are not classified as Title 1. Therefore, even though our PTA and teachers work tirelessly, funding is always an issue. Any support, big or small, that you are able to provide for my students is SO appreciated. Thank you for helping us learn, grow, and succeed at school!
