Our Class Needs an iPad for Digital Learning
Funded Jan 11, 2023Thank you so much for contributing to our class project to receive another iPad. It arrived today and the students are so so excited to use it!
There are multiple students in our class who do not have a device of their own, and they are eager to get their chance to use the iPad to complete lessons and activities, using the different programs for the iPad.
This additional device will give more of our students access to enriching learning materials that they weren't able to access previously.
Thanks again!”

Funded Sep 10, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to our project for indoor recess materials! Our students look forward to going to recess and getting a break every day, but when its bad weather and they cannot go outside, they are very disappointed.
The materials we received from this project, will provide the students in our school with fun things to do while they are in the cafeteria with their classmates! They will be able to now play checkers and uno with kids at their table.
Additionally, the drawing stencils will be good to keep the younger students in the cafeteria occupied when they are done eating. Thanks again for making indoor recess fun!”

1st Graders Love Hands-On STEM!
Funded Aug 14, 2022Thank you so much for donating to our classes project to purchase more hands on STEM activities for our first grade ICT class!
STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics and gives our students opportunities to combine these learning areas and use teamwork with their classmates to complete different projects in the classroom where they need to ask questions, plan, execute their plan and then re evaluate their work to see what they could do better.
We find that conducting these activities in the classroom gives ALL of our students a chance to shine, and participate in ways that they do not normally get to; during other subjects. We look forward to sharing photos of their work with you!”

Funded Sep 11, 2021Thank you so much again for contributing funds to our classroom project to get NEW books for a classroom library!! All of the books we received are on reading levels A-D which many of our students need at the beginning of first grade. We will be using these books to teach our students how to sound out CVC words, and also other early literacy skills such as pointing to each word as you read and stopping when you get to the end of a sentence.
Each day during reading all students practice reading independently while we pull reading groups to practice skills. The new books that we received will be used for independent reading time for our students. They are so excited to go book shopping and put these new books in their book baggies!”

An iPad for an ICT class!
Funded Feb 20, 2019Thank you so much for donating to my
Project so that my class can receive an iPad to practice their reading and math skills in the classroom!
Many of my students do not have access to iPads and computers at home, so it's essential that they get to use them during the school day. The iPad arrived last week and my class is extremely excited that we have an additional iPad to pass around the classroom for them to practice their math facts on, as well as read books on, and practice other reading and math skills on a program called I ready that my
Principal purchased a subscription for, for the class to use.
Thank you again for your generosity! My students and I appreciate it!!”

iPads for Digital Storytellers!
Funded Feb 26, 2018Thank you so much for donating to our class project for an iPad, so that our students can become digital storytellers!
We use iPads in the classroom for so many different things! Our students use them to practice their math facts on a free website, as well as use different programs that our school purchases, to practice reading and math skills and topics. We recently started using iPads with our students to also create digital stories using special programs.
The children love using the iPads to learn. They are very engaging for them, and it helps even the most unmotivated learners, to practice their skills and also produce beautiful work.
Thank you for taking the time to support my classroom!”

Funded Feb 16, 2018Thank you so much for donating to our class project to help replenish our classroom library! A lot of the books in our library get torn up and destroyed after a few years of use, so our students are left with books that have no covers, or are missing pages!
The books arrived a few weeks ago, and caused a lot of excitement in our classroom! The students were so excited to take out these brand new books, on all of their favorite characters to read about the many adventures that they have! Some class favorites included Fly guy, Biscuit and Tiny the dog.
Our students are using these books every day during independent reading time in our classroom, as well as taking them home in their book baggies to practice their reading skills at night and log these books onto their reading logs.
Thank you again for your support!”

An Ipad for ICT!
Funded Aug 2, 2017Ma. Langer and myself would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donations to our classroom project! Our class received the new IPad last week, and our students were able to start using it this week during reading and math time!
During reading the students use a program called tax-kids, to read and listen to books on their level, and take quizzes after reading both fiction and non fiction texts appropriate for them. We can definitely tell that they have a longer stamina for reading when using the iPad rather than just reading books at their seats. Everyone wants to go on the iPad to read! In addition, in math, the children use their special pin to log in and practice addition facts once they've completed their classwork It's an excellent special treat for them!
Our students who are sometimes slow to finish their work, or are unmotivated to get started, have seemed to perk up at the chance of being able to use the iPad if they get their work done first!
So thank you again for your donations that made this iPad possible!”

Funded Mar 7, 2016thank you so much avian for donating to our class project! The books have come in and the children were so excited to receive them!
They took turns reading in small groups and partnerships. Once we put the books in our class library, the students were excited to "shop" for the new books. They have been a big hit so far and the students have been extra careful to take care of them and keep them nice since they were a "present". We appreciate your thoughtfulness in contributing to this project and helping us get new books for our classroom.
They will be enjoyed by many students for years to come!”
