Dry Racks
Funded Sep 10, 2024Thanks again for your continued support of my classroom and other classrooms across the country. The kids were so excited to see new things in the room. As the pictures have shown, they already are eager to fill the spots with new artworks.
It didn't take long for the kids to notice the new racks. At that point, the questions began to fill the room. I think they saw this as a challenge to fill the rack right away. Other classes followed with that same reaction.
We all look forward to filling the dry racks and the joy of painting. Thanks again.”

Shading Practice
Funded Mar 23, 2023We were so happy to get these materials. When we got them, I was not ready to create class projects yet for them. Once the new school year began, they have become a fun part of my curriculum to help guide students to learn and understand how to shade.
These new shapes allow kids to practice how to shade without the stress of drawing a complex drawing. We will be able to use these shapes for years to come.
I had several students very excited once they were done. They had that moment when they realized that they could do it. Those are the moments that we all want as teachers.”

Funded Jan 20, 2023Thank you so much for the new canvases. My students were very excited to have these. My senior students were the first to open the boxes and get started with them first.
In my classroom, we like to paint. Most times, it has to be on other materials like paper, wood, etc. My budget realistically only has enough in it to give canvas painting to certain age levels. Opening this up to the middle school is very special for not just a teacher who likes to paint, but the students.
We have been painting more than ever because of your generosity. Thank you.”

Funded Nov 29, 2022When the materials arrived, the students were excited to open the boxes and see what great things were inside. Once they saw the new yarn colors, they couldn't wait to start the new project.
Once the materials were available, the students really took off. Our project of yarn bowls has been done before but supplies had become very restrictive. We had few colors and limited supplies overall. Adding in the new yarn and different colors really helped the kid's motivation. With all the new supplies, my students were very inspired.
It is great to have moments like this as a teacher. Student motivation is key to any success. Your donation to my art department really made a difference. Thank you for helping inspire my students.”

Funded Apr 28, 2022We were so excited to have new supplies again. My high school kids were the first to check things out and then down the line they all wanted to claim a chance to participate in the new project.
My High school started with the glass tiles and we made small mosaics with them. They were very excited to break the glass squares so they could create more interesting mosaics. Some of the pictures are of those projects. We were very safe in how we broke the glass for use and handled them with gloves.
Next I had a middle school group put together a few stepping stones using the round trays donated. I posted one picture of that project for you to enjoy as well.
I am looking forward to next year and continuing this project. I have seen some great things happen and look forward to more.
Thanks again for your help in making this happen for us.”

Funded Jan 28, 2022Thank you so much for this expanded opportunity. My students have always used canvases in the classroom but not given extra to learn from. They have been creating projects for the past few months and I am very excited to show you some of the examples of them. When we first received the canvases, they were eager to have more opportunity to continue to paint on canvas. We usually only allow for 2 canvases a year per HS student and this allowed even a Middle school class an opportunity to try out canvases. We really enjoyed the expanded opportunity to paint and learn more.”

Watercolor Wonders
Funded Aug 16, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation. Unfortunately, the supplies I was wanting was no longer available and I was able to pick out some other items that we definitely needed.
My students were very excited to see these new and fun supplies. They have seen me use them on my paintings many times but they were my personal tools. Now I have enough to teach a larger group how to use them.
Having the right tools for the job is important at any level of life and work. You have given use what we need. thanks,”

Funded Sep 11, 2021My students and really all students here at our school are thrilled to have these new supplies available. I can now lend out to many students stencils for various projects in all grades and classes.
My students were happy when we opened the box and they found out what we were getting. They have only been here a few days and already many have taken advantage of this.
We will be using these very soon for poster contests and my elementary classes will be happy to have them to use. I am excited to help out our school with this resource.”

Funded Aug 2, 2021What a great way to start the school year. We always need basic supplies and this was a huge help. Drawing paper may seem like something that the art department would have plenty of but it is hard to keep it on the shelf.
My kids here at school were not the most enthused person to see paper come in, it was myself. I know just how important it is to have the basics. When the paper arrived yesterday and we brought the boxes into the room, the kids were excited to see what would be inside. I didn't tell them right away. No matter what, the kids were very happy to know that people out there care and want to give to our school.
What a great example you have helped set for these great kids.
Thank you again for your generosity.”

Funded Apr 17, 2021We are very grateful to have generous donors out there thinking of us. This donation of Science tools to incorporate into the art curriculum is very important. Not only are we able to be more specific with our glazing, we can also teach the chemistry behind the glazes and how to really make glaze. These tools will be used every year during our clay season and we can't wait to use them next year.
The students were excited to open the boxes and find out what was inside. They have already studied up on glaze mixing and how to do that. Thanks for a great gift for this department and the students here.”
