  • Keep us Writing in Math!

    Funded Dec 29, 2024

First off, let me begin by saying thank you again for the support shown to my classroom. Without this project, I would have had to go buy more pencils to supply my students.

This project has helped to provide my student s with pencils whenever they need them, which for most is every day. Currently pur routine is that if they need a pencil, they leave their phone on my back table and grab a pencil. This cuts down on my pencils walking off, because they aren't forgetting that phone!

The students were very happy to have fresh markers to use. It's amazing how much more willing they are to show their work when they can write with a marker on their desk. We are grateful for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shuptrine

  • Order of Operations Room, Stat!

    Funded Sep 14, 2024

This is one of my favorite projects I have ever done! I have done the operating room before, but I decided to step it up this year and make it spooky! With the supplies from this project we created "Dr.Shupenstein's Laboratory."

The gloves and lab coats were an amazing tool for this project. The students got decked out in their gear and solved order of Operations problems to practice for our test. Doing test prep gets a little tedious, so being able to make this fun for my students was a great opportunity.

I am so grateful for people that care for my students like I do. Thank you!”

  • Sitting Makes Learning More Enjoyable

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

I am beyond grateful for help with funding this project. My students are going to be ecstatic when they see the new stools. Having enough working stools for ALL of my desks will be wonderful. Without the generosity of donors like you, things like this wouldn't be possible for my classroom. Thank you again!!”

  • 3D Printing for the Hornets!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you very much for your generosity. This 3d printer is going to be a blessing to our students. This will allow them to show their creativity in new ways. I can't wait to see what they are able to create. This wouldn't be possible without your help with this project.”

  • Snacks Help Us Learn 2024

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you again for all of your help with this project. You can't even know the difference that snacks make in a classroom of middle schoolers. With these snacks I am able to feed a hungry kid if they didn't get here in time to have breakfast that day. With these snacks I am able to give my kids that are staying after school for tutorials a snack to help keep them focused on learning. With these snacks I have also been able to reward students, or just surprise them with a little something.

I will always be grateful for the help in providing for the needs of my students.”

  • Hello Math, Goodbye Germs

    Funded Aug 1, 2024

Firstly, I want to begin by saying thank you again for helping to fun's this project. If you've ever been around a middle schooler, you know that hygiene and healthy habits aren't really high priority for them. This project has been a blessing for sure. Facial tissue isn't always supplied by my school, but they're definitely a classroom necessity and this project meant that I don't have to spend my own money to buy them. The bandaid are also great because this means I can give students a bandaid in my classroom and cut down on missed instructional time from them needing to go to the office or the nurse. Thank you!”

  • Keep us Listening in Math

    Funded May 24, 2024

First, let me begin by saying thank you, yet again, for helping bring this project to life. Without this project, my classroom would look very different. Because students learn in all different ways, I try to present them with opportunities to take in content in many different ways. In my classroom, this looks like having a mini-lesson whole group, and then students being able to embark on their own learning journey and watch videos to gain more understanding of the concepts.

Having new headphones means that ALL of my students can be watching videos at the same time if they so choose. Thank you so much for the help!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shuptrine

  • Lighting Up Our Math Class!

    Funded May 15, 2024

First off, let me begin by saying how grateful I continue to be for the generosity shown to my classroom through the funding of this project. It is funny to hear the comments I get when anyone walks into my room.

Students and teachers alike love the "vibe" of my classroom because of these lights. They create a lovely astethic that I can change easily with the touch of a button. I love that all of these lights work with each other to create a wonderful learning environment.

I especially have enjoyed being able to light up my small group area when in the past if we had the lights off, my small group area was too dark. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shuptrine

Welcome to my 6th grade math classroom! I teach at a Title 1 school, filled with amazing students that truly want to learn. I see my students for 90 minutes every day. I try to make sure that my classroom is a safe and inviting environment where my students are free to be themselves and make mistakes. I encourage them all to shine bright and make this world a better place. Because my students are such hard workers, I want to give them the best. Many come to school without supplies, and I do my best to provide those. I want my students to see that people believe in them and that they can either escape their environments, or make it a better place. I work in the area I grew up, so I try to provide examples and relate to the students I teach to show them what they are capable of. I hope that my students think of my class as more than just a math classroom.
