The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The teaching cart will carry the materials that students need in everyday lessons in the around the classroom; the Hands-On Math Trays and counters will help students to be familiar with the concepts of counting with one-to-one correspondence, categorizing, patterning, graphing, and sorting with fun and colorful counters. Students can also use the counters to work on measurement and comparison. The Ten-Frames sets will give students opportunities to understand the procedures of making ten, as well as subtractions. The donation of this project will help to improve my students' math learning in Chinese with visual and hands-on materials, and a piece of important classroom furniture that can carry teaching supplies around the classroom. I need your support and help in order to immerse students in a foreign langauge environment and learn effectively. My students already have shown an astonishing growth in learning Chinese, as well as learning math and science in Chinese. This project will help enrich their experiences with the hands-on and visual experience. Thank you so much for considering this project for my 53 kindergarten students in the Chinese Immersion Program!
