Toddlers in Need of Dolls
Funded Sep 11, 2023I hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of our entire TK class, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation for our classroom. Your support has made a significant impact on the learning experiences of our young students, and we are truly grateful for your kindness.
The dolls have become an integral part of our daily activities, enhancing our students' learning in numerous ways. We recently embarked on an exciting project that involved storytelling and imaginative play using the dolls. Each student had the opportunity to create their own unique story, fostering creativity and language development. The dolls served as wonderful props, allowing the children to act out their narratives, thereby enhancing their communication skills and fostering a love for storytelling.
The moment the students laid eyes on the new dolls, their faces lit up with joy and excitement. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it was heartwarming to witness the immediate impact of your thoughtful donation. The dolls not only provided a source of entertainment but also served as valuable tools for social and emotional development as the children interacted with each other through collaborative play.
As we continue, our next focus is on incorporating the dolls into our ongoing lessons on diversity and inclusion. We plan to introduce stories that celebrate different cultures and backgrounds, using the dolls to represent characters from various parts of the world. This approach not only promotes cultural awareness but also encourages a sense of unity and understanding among our diverse group of students.
Your support has allowed us to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment for our TK students, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional growth. We believe that by instilling a love for learning at this early stage, we are laying the foundation for a lifelong journey of curiosity and discovery.
Once again, thank you for your generosity and belief in the power of education. Your contribution has made a lasting impact on the lives of our students, and we are truly grateful for your support.”

Funded Sep 6, 2019Thank you for this portable shelf where I can store a good majority of my STEM supplies. The idea behind it was so that my cabinets can have more free space in storing other classroom supplies. Ever since I created this project, our district has finally decided to start STEAM labs at each school site. I'm truly enthusiastic about the opportunity this will provide for the students. In addition, I'm looking forward to having all the STEM supplies I have in my own classroom transferred to the STEAM lab and I'll free up more space. Thank you again!”

Makey Makey 4th Grade Inventors
Funded May 17, 2019Thank you for providing your donations to my classroom project for these Makey Makeys. My class truly enjoyed having them to learn how to code games, play with games on Scratch and even play musical instruments. It was terrific to see how their eyes lit up once they were able to get it working and playing with their classmates. As I've always wanted my students to be more tech savvy and these Makey Makey's did the trick for them. They showed me how interested they were in using these to play certain games without the keyboard on our Chromebooks and even learn how to play a piano using a banana! They have never heard of them but I'm glad I got to introduce them to it.”

Funded Aug 19, 2018Thank you so much for providing this excellent 3D printer for our class to utilize during our STEM days, which usually we do on Fridays. With this 3D printer, my students were given access and opportunities to design items such as a water fountain, fish bones, and even a hand! The process gives them beginning groundwork to do engineering and math skills using 3D designs. A lot of the students have not experienced seeing and using a 3D printer in person so this brings that dream into their reality. Thank you once again!”

Funded Oct 31, 2018Thank you for the Ozobots! My entire class and even the 4th grade students at our school enjoy using them. They're having a blast coding and making their own course with the markers Ozobots have provided. I have used them as part of my after-school enrichment class and it was the most popular class at school. I hope that the kids continue to enjoy working with the Ozobots we received and using them for the future. My goal is to get them interested in STEM career fields in the future. Thank you once again!”

Coding on an iPad!
Funded Sep 5, 2018My kids truly appreciate the opportunity to have an iPad in the classroom that is up to date and works with the coding robots. During our intervention, my students love working with the iPad because it's so versatile compared to the Chromebooks and they have so much more fun with the Ozobots and Sphero robots on an iPad. It's platforms such as DonorsChoose that provide teachers such as myself technologies to receive materials such as an iPad to provide necessary instruction to students and to enhance their learning in all parts of their school.”

Funded Oct 29, 2018My students had such great excitement to receive Sphero to add to our classroom that they wanted to work with it ASAP. Every morning, our class gets to do these robotics as part of their intervention time and they really have a blast with these. A lot of times, they would compete with one another or just be flat out silly. It's great to see that they're so interested in robotics and that these small robots can make sure a big difference in their learning. I'm overjoyed that I have enough to split amongst the class into small groups so it's no longer a large group playing with one Sphero. Thanks gain!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018My students have truly enjoyed these additional Chromebooks for the classroom. Everyday, I have the class work on their iReady for extra support on Math and Reading. When we do our free time, I make sure I teach my students on the importance of technology and how to use it wisely and safely because there's so much on the internet these days. In addition, we love doing Code.org on these Chromebooks because I want to prepare these kids for STEM careers in the future and it starts with the technology they're exposed to in the classroom. Once again, thank you for your support!”

Funded Dec 23, 2017Thank you for your generosity and your support for my students! My class are truly excited to have 2 additional chrome books to use in the classroom. I try to be as techs-savvy as possible with my class and the fact that they're able to use 2 additional ones really helps with the sharing. Although it's only a small amount, they're really grateful for the gifts. They were really ecstatic because we're close to having a class set and no one has to share anymore. I'm looking forward to getting more tech equipment for our classroom and getting them trained on becoming experts. Thank you once again!”
