Funded Jul 2, 2024I hope this message finds you well! I want to express my gratitude for your generous contributions, which have significantly transformed our classroom environment.
Since receiving the new resources, my students and I have been embracing their potential every day. The two air filters have tremendously improved the air quality in our classroom, creating a more conducive learning atmosphere. My students have noticed a difference and often comment on how fresh the air feels, which has allowed them to focus better during lessons.
We recently launched a classroom project centered around our school motto: ROAR—Resilience, Opportunity, Achievement, and Respect. To kick off this project, we decorated our room with the new jungle-themed borders and decor, which not only brighten our space but also serve as a constant reminder of our goals as "Tarzans" in our learning journey. The students loved seeing the new decorations! The moment they stepped into the classroom and saw the vibrant jungle theme, their eyes lit up with excitement. They connected instantly with the "Tarzins" motif, and it sparked lots of engaging discussions about what it means to be resilient and achieve our dreams.
Next, we plan to use these materials to inspire a visual project where each student will illustrate their understanding of the ROAR values. They will design posters that encapsulate personal stories or goals reflecting resilience, opportunity, achievement, and respect. The rugs, bean bag, and curtains have added a sense of comfort to our space, making it feel more like a home away from home. This will encourage my students to express themselves freely and foster a safe environment where they can share their perspectives.
Your support has made a significant impact. Thank you once again for contributing to our classroom—your generosity truly makes a difference!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Riggs
