At our school, we have an amazing group of students ranging from ages 3 to 4 years old in a pre-k classroom. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. They come into our classrooms every day, eager to learn, ready to take on new and challenging tasks, and excited for what is in store. My students are eager to learn and enjoy reading, math, and hands-on projects. I want them to feel safe and know they can accomplish anything if they apply themselves. I will have the opportunity to bond with my students and learn all of their many personalities. These items will allow them to be creative in their own way and learn how to express themselves through creativity.
