  • Help Us Regulate Our Feelings & Emotions

    Funded Oct 14, 2024

This project has positively impacted The Kindness Kingdom in so many ways! My students have a safe place to go when big feelings arise. They also have tools to support them through their feelings so they can learn tools to cope when other feelings come up.

The books have added several positive stories to our classroom library. It is fun to see my readers select books about feelings and excitedly share the books with their friends.

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom through this project. I appreciate your support as I work to improve the future...one thinker at a time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shellie

  • Holiday Books Make Learning Fun!

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

Thank you again for supporting this project. Throughout October, November, and December my students and I have really enjoyed reading all of the new books we received from this project. Each book created new learning experiences and new memories.

Each student had a different favorite book from this collection! In addition to the learning this year, I can't wait until next year when I can share these books with my new group of students.

Thank you for supporting me through this project! Your support allows me to continue my work improving the future for us all!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shellie

  • Decodable Books & Phonics Read-Alouds Build Readers!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you again for your generous support of my classroom through this project! New books always create a bit of a reading frenzy in our classroom and it is amazing to see. These books were no different. My students were so excited about reading the Decodable books.

The Phonics "rules" books have been such a fun way to teach the "rules" of the English language. And your support has allowed me to engage even the most reluctant readers in my class.

Reading is so important for my students to learn and your support has made my job just a bit easier and, for that, I appreciate you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shellie

  • Create Money-Smart First-Graders

    Funded Sep 26, 2024

Thank you again for supporting this project. You helped me create our Kindness Cash system and The Kindness Store. With the project materials, students started learning about money in the United States! After learning about the values of money, students learned about banking, savings, and investing.

Then, students began earning money for doing their jobs in the classroom. After earning Kindness Cash for one month, students spend their money on various experiences and desk pets. They use their desk pets as game partners and reading buddies.

This project has helped my students begin their journey toward financial literacy. I appreciate your support so much.”

  • Air Travel With Airplane Kits & Up

    Funded Aug 24, 2024

Thank you again for supporting my students through this project! We absolutely LOVED this project. Reading about Airplanes and Pilots unlocked a passion for learning more about air travel in my students. They have been reading every book they can find related to helicopters, airplanes, jets, pilots, air traffic controller...you name it, they are reading about it.

Watching them create their airplanes and watching them test them out was a very fun experiences. They loved comparing their designs with their friends and then competing to see whose plane would fly the farthest.

Lastly, the collaborative learning that occurred while building the LEGO plane & airport and Up House was amazing to witness. They worked together so well and created magically memories as they completed the kits. I am so appreciative to every donor who made this possible.”

  • Sketch Journals From Quill Create Memories

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project that helped me launch our Self-Portrait Journals! My Students LOVE them so much. Each month, we draw a new picture of ourselves with a different theme. Last month, we drew spooky self-portraits inspired by Tim Burton. This month we will be drawing ourselves wearing a shirt with a kindness message on it! My students love having a place to be creative in the classroom and I am sure they will love to reflect on their progress as they continue through the year.

Thanks again for supporting me as I work to improve the future for us all!”

  • Stem Tools for My Questioners!

    Funded Aug 8, 2024

Thank you so much for generously supporting this project. With your donations, I was able to bring new STEAM materials to our indoor recess/STEM bins, more science books to our library, and inspire my students with new science learning experiences.

My Firsties are LOVING the new Pixel Brix buckets. They love that they can build up with the bricks and put them together like puzzles. These Brix are awesome for developing fine-motor muscles to build strong hands!

The books have been checked out consistently from our library since they were added to the bins! It makes my teacher heart so happy to see my students excited by books!

Thanks for helping me improve the future! I appreciate you.”

  • Nugget Couch for School Library

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

We LOVE our Nugget!! The entire school has already enjoyed the brand new comfy spot that the Nugget lives in. To each person who donated to this project benefitting our School, I cannot say thank you enough.

My class was the first group of students who got to sit in this new reading space in the library. My students felt like rockstars to have this privilege. Now, my students feel so much pride that a project we wrote is having a positive impact on the entire school.

I appreciate your kindness and generosity. This comfy reading space will benefit our school community for many years to come.”

  • Art & Headphone Kits for Kids

    Funded Mar 20, 2024

This project positively impacted my students by allowing them to participate in a community service project to meet the needs of students at our sister school! When my students learned about a headphones drive at a local school they wanted to help so we wrote this project together. Now, with our help and the support of the donors to this project, students in need have headphones to learn with and art kits to create with. Thank you so much. You have helped me improve the future for us all! I appreciate you.”

    Funded May 9, 2024

Thank you again for supporting this important project for my class! Our Compassion Table has been so helpful while teaching my new class of students how to be empathetic during conflict and move beyond the situation. The books have helped me to launch and establish a culture of kindness and compassion in The Kindness Kingdom with my first graders.

Our urban school is located in a densely populated area, but my students are motivated to create a successful future for themselves! Picture this, highly-motivated students growing up in high poverty, but they are always seeking out ways to donate to those who are less fortunate then them. They are always willing to give back to the community! They enjoy learning opportunities that push them to think and act beyond their comfort zones. Access to additional resources helps them expand their world view!
