• Student's Soar to New Heights with an iPad

Watching the students learn new content while engaging with 21st century technology is so amazing! The students are really enjoying the apps we have been able to download so far! The kids are having so much fun learning in a new way!

With new folders, pencils, and erasers we were able to put more focus into developing our writing skills because we had all of the materials we needed to write! The keyboard case for our iPad made it so much easier to type on. The touchscreen was a little tough to get used to!

Your generosity also helped me model some organizational techniques to help my students prepare for middle school with the labels, clipboards and folders.

• Help Us Keep Bullies Away!

  To say that I am grateful is the understatement of the year! Thank you so much for your commitment to education and anti-bullying projects!

  With your support, Daily 5 is finally a reality in our classroom!!! Your contributions have allowed me to establish a high-quality listening station with wireless headphones that do not require my students to be tethered to the radio. The rechargeable batteries we received have also allowed us to keep the headphones working without having to buy new batteries.

  You have also help me add 13 new books to our classroom library. My students are really enjoying their new choices during reading.

• Cyberbullies Become Respectful with Technology!

  Everything has finally arrived! After the holidays and some shipping delays, our netbook, case, iPod docking station, and books have finally arrived. Several students have been waiting to print their work and on Friday, the first piece was printed! Because of your generosity, my student-writers are more motivated to do their very best writing. They are finally viewing themselves as writers!

• Combat Bullying with "Bullying in Schools," Books, & Nooks

  Reading is fun with our new technology!!! Thank you so much for changing our reading experiences. Your contributions to the project brought 3 Nooks and several other traditional books to our classroom. We are really enjoying reading with our Nooks...My students are working hard in other areas to be sure that they will be able to read with the Nooks each day!

  Bullying in Schools is helping my students focus discussions, both here at school and at home, around respectful treatment towards themselves and others. The resources from the project are changing the literacy experiences of my students. They have also improved the general culture of our classroom. • Cozy Readers Combat Bullying!

  Thank you so much for funding this project! My students are really enjoying their comfy reading/meeting space with our new carpet and bookshelf! One student said, "I love this carpet. It makes reading so much more enjoyable!"

  With the new bookshelf, we have organized our books to enable readers to make quick choices about what to read. We are more organized because of your help!

  The Bullying in Schools books have expanded our anti-bullying program and many more students in our school are experiencing the benefits of respectful behavior from their peers.

• End Bullying with Literacy!!

  With the holidays behind us, our materials have finally arrived! We have already been sharing the "Bullying in Schools" books with other classes to start the conversation about respectful behavior. My students are busy writing the anti-bullying message to share with the school. They will begin their anti-bullying presentations in the coming weeks. As a result of your generosity we are changing the culture of our school forever! My students feel empowered by this experience and have really embraced respectful choices...this has made our learning environment more positive.
