Having a classroom carpet will give my students a comfortable space on our tile flooring to sit and engage in our morning community meeting as well as provide an alternative for flexible seating arrangements. The carpet that was given to me by the district is very small and does not fit all of us comfortably. I would love the chance to provide a special place in the room where both the students and the adults can enjoy interacting together to build our classroom community. I would also love to give my students the opportunity to earn flexible seating privileges such as working on the carpet with a lap desk.
